Mateo
Benry
Friend

We always go better when Feleti is interested.

Benry said in an interview this week that he was going to work on his attack. Seems a pretty good start to score 2 tries. Still really has to learn to use his outside man, though.

I went friend but was hard to pick for me. Hurrel strong running. Louis good game. Brown explosive. Mateo ball playing great in patches. But friend the difference today I thought

3. Mateo
2. Friend
1. Bowen

T'was an exciting game. Bowen was so awesome, he gets mom points too

Hahaha I totally agree with this!! :) Mateo was unreal as was Friend, shows how much we missed him but Bowen was beasting too!!!

Am I the only one that has real issues with Blueys interchange? He takes Friend Matulino Packer and Mateo off at almost the same time. What the heck? He seems to have an inflexible game plan that's pre-decided. So when Friend ' unexpectantly' plays a blinder he still gets pulled, which is when the cowboys came back within 4. Starting to really get to me

3 Matulino - best prop in the game,we lose so much presence on D and attack with Big Ben off
2 Friend - Oustanding come back
1 Mateo - Martel is crucial to our finals run

win is a win but damn there is some alarming traits in this team

Really wana see Matulino and Mateo's mins increase...Elijah Taylor mins can be cut, Taylor is a non event and has been a disapointment since the early rounds

Nah, i'm with you. In comparison, Cleary seems like a genius with his choice of interchange.

I read somewhere that there are 2 types of coaches in the NRL. Those who make decisions as the game progresses and those who leave instructions with the trainers and have no input during the game.

Totally agree champ, taking Friend off is ridiculous, his only so called weakness is running from dummy half but he was amazing in that regard tonight. He is one of our best players easily and if he is playing like that, why would you ever even consider taking him off? Same with Mateo, those two were unreal tonight. My god we missed Friend!!! :)

Ehh on Benry.. He was right man right place for both, but in a team that lacks support play he's doing well, but still gets manhandled like a child. Sharky still the man. Still bitter about losing him, he only knows one direction & that's towards the try line.

Yep you're bang on about Sharky and Benry. I really dont like Benry, he just lacks penetration and imo will always be a journeyman player. Hurrell and Neilson next year so no dramas unless Bluey is an idiot and plays Ropati ahead of Hurrell again :S

I wasn't a big benry fan, but the more I watch his defence and see the stats the more I think he might hold Neilson out. We do need strong defenders out wide, and he is fast becoming one of the strongest defensive centres around. I think we need a defensive winger on the other side next year to partner Konrad. Omar fits the bill for mine. He will improve if he gets more game time and with Benry admitting he needs to work more on giving his winger space, perhaps he can shine before Manu arrives back and push Tupou off the other wing.

How do I dislike a post? Keep Neilsen out because of his defensive ability?? Really bro??

Mate you really need to take you blinkers off and get rid of your Locke/Omar bias.

Omar has a future - but he's not ready yet. Very lightweight and has no penetration at NRL level. At least that's what I see from him.

Impressed with Friend and Mateo today - my mom:

Friend
Mateo
Matulino

Locke blew two tries, one for not passing and one for throwing the ball away. And we seemed weak defensively when Friend was off, lastly still issues with our right side defence

However, have to be pleased wit the two points and getting into positive points differential.

Ummm, Benry is the top defensive centre in the NRL right now. Neilson's stats are currently running second to his. So right now, that the way it is. I think we should compare them closer to the start of the 2013 season, because Benry will probably keep improving, while Neilson's age indicates he is probably heading towards a plateau real soon.
