Warriors vs Cowboys Gameday Chatter [Round 8, 2021]

We need this one but probably more important (if that’s possible) we need a solid performance.

this is no time for the warriors to play a team below them back into form.

let’s gone warriors.

They have won 3 in a row, they already in form, we are the one's who need to get into form.

With us now getting players back in the next few weeks we need to win and win well. I will be disappointed with a close win

Don’t forget their coach was our coach last year, probably still knows a bit of how this team ticks. Agree about the players coming back but if it’s close, a wins enough for me. Noticing also Val Holmes getting closer to finding that old form, hope we keep an eye on him.

Not a shoe in at all, Cowboys have momentum and we don't. Yes we have injuries to key personnel but if we want to be in the top 8 have to win this.

Straight and hard wins the game today. Play a little bit of ball once outside our 30 and we should be ok...

We're playing at "home" today.

Anything less than a win and my pitchfork will be out...

The plan that has worked against Taumalolo in the past is get to him early, get to his legs and chop him down... sounds easy right?

Could go either way today, cows have a bit of momentum but we have also had some pleasing signs playing teams in our bracket(Manly excluded). A win will put us in a good spot with troops returning soon, a loss will be a big hit to confidence

We've been pumped like every mediocre team by the Chooks and Storms. I shrugged off those, because that's just where we're at currently. The Cows have a bit of fake form against Tigs, Dogs, and Berra who are all travelling pretty poorly.

There's no reason we can't eek out two points today if we turn up with the right attitude in D. We have shutdown Lolo as recently as last season, one down low and two up top, then wrestle on to his back. Stoked Jazz is coming off the bench, that's where we see the best of him. As he comes on when other boys are getting tired and sets the line speed. Stoked to see Rog back at fullback to set our D line, also how Walsh goes and where we hide him on D. It was noted Berry is a right centre, and Pomps best game in Warriors colours was against the Drags on the left so hoping to see a swap there.

GL Warriors, keen as for this game.

I can't really think of Taumalolo ever having a big game against us. Hate to jinx it, but I do think we neutralise him effectively.

Their pack is half decent but overall we look much stronger, particularly if Niko decides to turn up.

Warriors by 12.

Payten called out Taumalolo a month ago. Basically for playing shithouse.

It’s gonna be interesting to see which Jason shows up today. The recking ball forward, or the shithouse forward.

Let’s hope for shithouse

We're playing at "home" today.
And we will be watching the game on the big screen, sitting on the main field at Mt Smart. Hopefully there will be a decent turn out of fans and members.

If Taumalolo starts, it would be tempting to start Leeson and Jazz to close the middle third down.

We have Curran and Tohu Harris, Evans is defending ok, we do have the troops to contain big JT.

What's this we should win rubbish?

Show the opposition some respect man, it is the NRL. No one is a guaranteed win. I will be thrilled with a one point win.

Simple game plan, make some yards, hold the ball, go to Walsh on the fourth tackle for a running and kicking option, Kodi on the last.....swap that round on occaision....but no mater what, Walsh touches the ball every set.

Walsh needs that ball in his hands especially when we get in the Cowboys half, the more he gets that ball the more he can test the line or set up a player in a hole.

Cowboys with all the momentum need to get on the board early, knock the stuffing out of them.

Had zero expectations against the Storm, play well enough and we should be every chance here, will be disappointed if we dont turn up.

Walsh at 6 gives that spine a lot more balanced look, am hoping this is the day both Ken (he was good last week) and Fusitua get their shit together.
