The Warriors played cleanly while the Tigers played dirty. I might be biased but I believe we're the cleanest team in the NRL.The Warriors give away the least amount of penalties. The Tigers give away the most. The Warriors discipline was the difference in the game
I've alway been of the opinion only our Australian players cheat.I strongly disagree with the cheat sentiment
Look at how his face contorted when he was hit - that was no tap on the face!
Even Webby made a comment along the lines of ‘would have been better if he went closer to the posts’ when asked how good he was in the presserStacey cracked me up in the box
“Post, go to the post kient, Fukya”

true, perhaps a clownfish (heh, heh) would be appropriate (just being giddy from the win).I like it, he was stepping all those players like Roger tonight. And call me doubting Thomas but if the Berryshiah hasn't returned, Charnze can go to left centre, Luke 1, TMM 7, Webby has to think 4D to outsmart Bellamy. NAS usually makes clowns of us, but that was before the Fish. No one makes a clown of the Fish.

The pissiest bit was at the end when he said “you all saw it but I can’t comment on it” (paraphrasing)Didn't he say something weird like 'I could get all Ricky Stuart about this, but I won't'? Yeah, granted said we went alright but there was a hard dog-whistle

Aye man i disagree. Fien was anything but bad on attack. And Witt was bloody great too. I still have that last second storm try burned into my mind. Other than that i do agree. But i gotta say that i think there is a lot more potential in a metcalf and CHT combo than there ever was for the 2006-2010 period. Could be similar to how Rovelli from the cowboys was meant to be great but kinda fizzled out but i dobut it.I do agree with this. I also get the impression that AW is trying to make things simple for the young halves by designing a very simple gameplan without an elaborate attacking shape like Manly and Melbourne that can be executed relatively smoothly.
Arguably the most consistent period during our recent history where we achieved sustained success was the pre-SJ Cleary period of 2006-2010. We had a tough pack led by seasoned warriors (Price/Wiki/Luck/Rapira, etc) but a series of unheralded young Aussie spines (Rovelli/Fein/Witt/Gatis/Henderson, etc) who came to us looking for an opportunity in first grade. They were able to succeed on the back of a really simple gameplan not too dissimilar to how we play today built around forward dominance and second phase play that lacked any real attacking shape other than "pass it to Manu". I feel as though this is what AW is trying to build as well for this year. Maybe instead of pass it to Manu, it will be pass it to Ali/Leka and let them wreak havoc.
They like to call it gamesmanship.I've alway been of the opinion only our Australian players cheat.
The NRL pundits are hard taskmasters. the 360 bunch are so Sydney focused but there was a lot of respect from Marty Johns and fletch and Hindy on the late show. They can see we’ve added extra starch. Asked Egan if Laurie Daley had called re origin and wade deferred. We’re better when we fly under the radar. Early days but it seems like Barnett and Fish are building a good team. AW and Stacey happy to trust the players to know their roles. Metcalf and CHT just do their roles behind a fearsome pack. Looking forward to seeing how they match up against the Storm and Broncos big boys…I think it is the other way round. We were disrespected by everyone (Tigers fans and wider NRL punditry world) this week. Not a single so called "expert" tipped in favor of us, even though this was at best a 50/50 game for the tigers. Just an entire week of NRL propaganda pumping up the tigers as the feel good story at our expense.
I agree.........I think u might be biasedThe Warriors played cleanly while the Tigers played dirty. I might be biased but I believe we're the cleanest team in the NRL.
