Are we assuming the Fale bid has fallen over.
I see that Geoman describes himself as a “PSI Acquisition Specialist”
I would hate to see what a PSI non acquisition specialist sounds like...
Oh wait - we had Richard Fale
The silence scares me now. Could actually be following the nondisclosure thing meaning they are very close. That other fella coming on here only strengthens that view IMO. Why come on here talking like that if it had fallen over???
Every country and every colour has had their 'Warriors'. Some of the hardest have been white. Vikings irish Scots etc. Warriors are not exclusive to the Pacific.
The possibility of this being another Tainui thing is worrying.
These guys are talking shit. They have no idea of how nz sports have to operate to be successful.
The only counsel I would give is to be careful in what you post. These guys love seeing their names in the media. No such thing as bad publicity.
Search his name on google and watch the youtube videos
Fale needs International Rescue for his PR, it's appalling
He talks about trying to get American Football players into their XVs when he controlled (in partnership) American union. A good chance they will definitely give that a crack if they buy the Warriors?
I don't think it was ever really on tbh. The blokes a complete chancer. This new bloke seems like he's come out of the same mould as well.
Their goal was for the USA to win the Rugby world cup in 2023. A bit ambitious IMO but then their 7's team has developed quite quickly. Not sure the USA will be in any position to take on NZ, Australia, SA, England in the next decade in the 15 a side game
I have no doubt the finances are there, whether through group funding or partial debt. The motivations for buying the club are very murky though and I think there is quite a bit of difference between Fale, George and the rest of the groups reasons.
Geoman and Fale sound like the same person.
Ideas are equally as far left field and they speak the same language...however Fale distanced himself from the culture card after the backlash.
If they are not one in the same, that's even more interesting in terms of supporting the theory that the world cup has inspired a group of individuals to keep a good thing going...that idea I find exciting....to me it is a reminder of how success can inspire people to believe in their dreams.
The exclusive Polynesian talk is counter productive, those ideas and doing what's best for the team as far as its make up goes. .need not be mutually exclusive.
The Warriors can be a springboard for Polynesian aspirations while having a good mix of players.
I wonder if these guys have heard of South African Rugby unions quota system ?
It's a disaster for all involved.
Maybe he's a PSI Acquisition Specialist in the same way that a Transparent wall Technician is a window cleaner
Looks like a lot of discussion has been going on here since I was here last.......been interesting to read some of the dialogue.
Snoopy, why such a hater?
Too much to respond to typing. Lets do a conference call. How about noon NZ time?
How about Sunday some time with a couple of posters on here with some organised questions?
Would be better to avoid the haphazard approach I feel.
I can't do a conference call, I am Uk based and the time difference of -12 hours is prohibitive. If I could ask a general question now which you could maybe address then, or even now?
Could you give an honest summary as to where your consortium currently is with the proposed acquisition of the club? In doing so can you cover all of the issues that you need to square, not only with the current club ownership but with your financial backers and NRL as well?
I think the mistake Fales crew have made is that they have seen a team made up with a fair portion of Pacific Islander players, they have also seen plenty of brown faces in the crowd and heard that their fan base is in south Auckland which is largely Pacific Islanders.
They have bought into the warriors stereotype.
What they have missed is that Polynesians are still a minority here, the vast amount of people in New Zealand identify as New Zealander’s no matter what their ethnicity make up is.
We love the idea of a Polynesian team. But not at the expense of our own.
Please don’t use our team to try to further goals that don’t match those of our team or fan base.
Surely there's somebody out there with too much money who loves rugby league.
No agenda, no bullshit, just a desire to have a winning Warriors team like us!
