The hard-nosed prop ended the game in the sin bin after belting replacement Harrison Graham with a shoulder to the head with three minutes remaining.</p><p>Warriors co-captain Mitch Barnett praised his side’s defensive commitment and resilience, especially during a messy second half.</p><p>“We probably need to just play a little bit better there, I think in the second half, but our resilience has been unreal and our DNA is starting to show now after a few weeks,” Barnett said.</p><p>“Just a great performance by the boys and we’re slowly building.</p><p>“It’s something we worked on. We obviously weren’t sort of happy with how we defended there last year, and then just sort of especially to start the year. So, we’ve dug in, started training hard and consistent and it’s starting to show.”</p><p>The last time the Warriors were in this position this late in the season was back in 2002 when they were led by the indomitable Stacey Jones and featured a fullback destined for big things off the field – Ivan Cleary.</p><p>In an incredible season they finished as minor premiers before reaching their first-ever NRL grand final, going down to the Roosters.</p><p>Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf said the prognosis was not looking good for Gilbert, who has had a wretched run with injuries, missing most of the last two seasons with ACL and shoulder battles.</p><p>“It’s a pec injury,” Woolf said.</p><p>“We won’t know the severity of it until we get scans. He’s obviously going to have some sort of time on the sidelines.</p><p>“He is disappointed, but he is a tough man. He’s handled disappointment before and knows how to get through it.</p><p>“He’s not going to be playing in the next couple of weeks with a pec injury.</p><p>“I don’t know the exact severity. If it was minor he would have played on.
