Between Montoya, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Kosi, there are teams with weaker wing options. They're developing nicely, just lacking top end speed. Te Maire Martin, Tuaupiki and Metcalf half with that.Fair enough. Not the best game to see what a centre can do
I do wonder if he could handle wing in first grade in a year or two before transferring to centre.
Not overly impressed with our wing options in first grade or NSW Cup while we seem to have a surplus of potential centres.
Ricky Henry confirmed after the game Metcalf was only ever getting the first half. Even without Volkman's finger surgery, I'd say Metcalf would have been a lock for the Broncos game given Te Maire Martin is out, provided he got through today. Thanks guys- I’m late to the party but feel like I watched the whole game now.
Metcalfs return sounds very encouraging.

Last sighted failing a HIA on April the 16th which is a bit concerningWhat's up with Jacob Laban? I'm really curious to get a read on where he fits in going forward.
Yeah that doesn't sound good, hope it's not serious. Was there any word on what kept Halasima out this week?Last sighted failing a HIA on April the 16th which is a bit concerning
Fair enough. If Dallin Watene-Zelezniak wants more money, I think we could let him test the market - I don't see many clubs snapping him up for big money - so he would likely stay. Kosi is improving, but we could probably do we an extra speed merchant or two - I just think there are other recruitment priorities and could therefore make do with the wingers we have on deck already.Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will want decent money after next season and I don't rate Kosi so to me we're thin.

As too Vasuvulagi! 👊 one of a few that played well vs the Tigers C team!View attachment 52164
Good to see Jacob Laban back in the mix. The panthers will be down on troops with a few replacing their origin players in 1st grade this week so good chance to bag 2 points.
Yes indeed! He's a big body and should be in the peak years of his career now so definitely interested to see how he goes. It would be great if the club could get a live stream going for this game.As too Vasuvulagi! 👊 one of a few that played well vs the Tigers C team!
It was pre-covid when I last caught a stand alone reserve grade game at Mt Smart, but they were always held on the #2 field - drive in the O'Rorke Road entrance and park that carpark. Is anyone going this weekend?
For past NSW Cup games at Mt Smart which gates do they open?
I want avoid a repeat of Albany where I had to jump back in the car and follow someone down the road.
I really liked Fukfuka from the SG ball team. He seemed way more explosive than the other players and could really turn it on in spurts. I have been surprised he hasn't been involved in NSW Cup yet. Hopefully that isn't anything to do with off field as he seems better than the hookers involved in the cup side.Good looking team! Would be nice if we had a decent 3rd string hooker tho. How’s sands going? Gees it would be great if there was a genuine reserve grade comp and games were on tv
