Couldn't believe it when I heard it last night, yet Maloney gets 1 week for tripping.

It was but how do they come up with punishments?
Look at Luke, player upended straight to his feet. 3 weeks.
Look at Maloney, player never hit the ground. 2 weeks.
Look at Sam, player knocked the fuck out, rulled out for 2 weeks with concussion. No weeks-$1900 fine.

How the fuck does that work? It's not like Sam isn't known for his high shots.

As proved with Burgess - hire a top defense lawyer - not the junior wannabe Warriors hired for Luke. Of course the fact Souths are playing Storm in Melbourne helped.

The charismatic Englishman (and media personality) seems to get the same leniency as some of those storm players. Probably to generate more interest in UK viewing (they love him obviously and keeps them tuned in) and also keeps a strong Sydney team at the business end.

There’s a conspiracy on the ‘broncos forums’ that it’s important for the NRL to have a strong Melbourne team in the finals each year to compete with AFL and get more Victorians interested to generate more money. I think they hate the BS even more so, check out this haha

Those ex-players clyde, beuttner and co are mere puppets to appear ‘on the level’ but no doubt under instruction set by nrl ‘guidelines’ and ALL work for a pay check at the end of the day. They seem to specialise in ‘seeing things’ upon video review that nobody in their right mind can conclude with the evidence presented before them.

I can only imagine behind closed doors in their ‘little boys club’ they have free license to come up with pre-emptive stuff where they probably all sit around have a beer and piss themselves over - there I said it!.. I can remove my tinfoil hat now

All penalties come with a certain amount of points. If you plead guilty you get a discount. If you challenge and lose you cop the full amount.

My guess is Maloney couldn't cop more than a week regardless. It does probably mean he has extra carry over points though.

I'd say corrupt... as Cam and Sam (Burgess) are both cozy friends of Tod Greenberg and have preferential treatment.

Fox calculated it for that guy that copped a week suspension last week, it was 0.307 seconds or something ridiculous in that case.

I'd take it over the NAS crusher, but yea I can see why its been called up. The fact that he got away with it is not surprising, the fact that the judicary wouldnt do anything not surprising either.
