Only found not guilty because we challenged it. It was reviewed and he was charged.
Standard procedure though. Sin bins are automatically referred to the match review committee. We challenged it and he was cleared meaning no further suspension or carry over points...

Manly vs Titans round 15 (last round). Sironon sent off tackling player without the ball. It was not referred to the match committee - sin bins are not automatic, they are still reviewed.

Hang on... you were referring to Warriors players getting sent off and triggering an automatic referral. For our players of course it’s automatic 👍🏻

Luke facing 2 weeks for a guilty plea, 3 weeks for losing a not-guilty plea....

I mean I get why they are harsh on this type of incident, but...

Wow that's a tough 2 week call. If he landed on his head that's fair enough, but I thought it was marginal. NRL must want to remove a lifting tackle from the game. JTurbo doesn't even get a week, pffttt please.

Bloody hope Latwon is back, otherwise might have to run with CHT & AK (if Nikorima is back..).

It sucks as he drove through rather than lifting, unfortunately the players size counted against him and made it look worse(not victim blaming).
Unfortunately too is Luke- like Blair has a reputation which means they get dealt with harsher but they should use the Turbo tackle as an inconsistency comparison

Honest question... if the penalty count was even, if we had more even possession, if we did 50-60 less tackles, if we weren’t as fatigued...

Would Isaac have even had to make that tackle?

Luke is going to the judiciary to have the charge downgraded to grade one, which would mean he's free to play this week if successful.
bit surprising given the amount of times he's been around the block, he don't have carry over points to still miss a game. grade 1 throw must be just ahead of tripping on the list of things NRL no longer care to punish

If he doesn't get it downgraded it's ridiculous considering Jake T is free to play.
Surely a side by side video is all you need in that case. There’s been a bit of it in the media last few days with the Jake tackle and the Cotric tackle played side by side with the pisstake Tagline of “but Jakes a nice guy” to highlight the inconsistency

It is just further evidence of incompetent refereeing. My guess is SK will give Annersley a full blast.

There will be some crap about intent, then first contact (Hughes hand) before his head and neck... so not as bad of course.

So, what are the chances of Isaac Luke getting the grade 2 downgraded?

This is a very smart move by the Club... the outcome will be very interesting....

JT example vs desire to stamp it out from the game....

For me, they have to go with JT example, and make it very clear at the end of the season... ala the Slater's non shoulder charge in the Preliminary last year...

Zero reason for any other outcome except OPENLY admitting bias.
