General warriors had an awesome game against bulldogs, they lost it..

It was the best i've seen the warriors play all year. The only thing that let them down was the mistakes they made, mostly the dropped balls. I think if the warriors work on that this week they'll win all their last games and make the top8. But hohaia still doesn't offer anything from the bench. We need gatis back on the bench as hooker.

Did u see the the big bulldogs forwards that the warriors contained. It was awesome. I reckon cuz the warriors handles the bulldogs pack they can handle any pack in the NRL.

Maybe not the best they played all year aye, but certainly agree with you mistakes is what let us down. And also agree with you on winning the remainder of our games to make the 8 mate!!!!!!!!!!!

In terms of playing to the best they possibly could muster it's right up there with the Broncos game (even edging it out a bit); just some areas need a bit more fixing. I hope none of the players get dropped; they've all got to learn from this as painful as it is. But I'm sure they can pick themselves up.
While I've never had any big problems with Hohaia; I jsut thought something went a miss after Fien left the field; I don't know but Hohaia just didn't cut it for me (anyone else think that?) he's still a good player but he's got to up the anti a little!

I'm just hoping that the Warriors don't get too down about this loss and it affects their performance next week against the Eels. We were close but they need to look at the positives and keep up the good form and not let the loss affect future performances.

yep well said

Here we go again! Yep it was all Hohaias fault. He was on the field without Price and Wiki, a luxury Fein is yet to experience - get real!!! What happened to the on field thinking in the last 10 mins that could have got us home. It turned to custard - the so called key players Fein, Rovelli, Ropati, Martin, Wiki, Price - couldn't collectively put together a play to get us in field position. The Bulldogs did - and they would have been just as knackered as us.

I bet you were glad Hohaia was on the bench when all this was happening.

I suggest you re read my post again. I wasn't laying into him and I wasn't blaming him for anything. I'm just saying that on evidence on how he had performed the previous few weeks; yesterday wasn't quite up to what he had done at that time. Not blame anywhere. And it was just what I thought.

I agree. The boys have been playing the best they have for a long time. What is really good is the consistency they are showing (something I have slagged them for in the past!!).
One thing concerns me though, is how the game plan goes out the window when Pricey and Rueben go off. Doesn't anyone else know the plan, and if not why don't they stick to it

GO THE WARRIORS!!!!!!!!

I don't need to- you are saying that things went awry when Fien went off and the way I read it was as tho it was Hohaia's fault. I cant read into it that you are saying Hohaia didn't play as well as he has done in the last couple of games. I thought in the circumstances he did well without Price and Wiki and had brought some good go forward from his dummy half running. Incidentally I think it is part of the game plan for Hohaia to try those runs just prior to half time as the opposition starts to tire or just after halftime when the opposition isn't alert.

In my opinion, and I have explained this in another posting today, perhaps the Coaching staff got a few calls wrong on Sunday - but in the overall scheme of things I don't think it is a great drama afterall they are on a huge learning curve. The boys are going well and it augurs well for the future. Not downbeat at all, just frustrated at some of the logic!!!!

Absolutley agree with you bout the price and wiki issue. I mean you see both of them sitting on the bench and your thinking why the hell isnt at least one of them out there!!!!!! lol

Yes, the logic makes me a bit miffed at times. But it's their decision so oh well!

Because they both start the game so they both go off at similar times to get some rest and get refreshed. If you wanted one of them on the park all of the time you would have to start Tuimavave and then rotate the props throughout the match, making sure either Price or Wiki is always on the field.

mate, i would have hohaia in my team any day over Gatis, Hohaia offers so much more in attack, and we need that.

Pricey played 72 minutes of origin football. He can play a whole game of nrl football if he wanted! They need to have wiki or price on they cant both be of at the same time!

Yes, but I suspect he would have been very fatigued towards the end of that spell, and we would never be able to play that many minutes every week. This situation is similar to the Kiwis case last year, when we fell apart when Ruben Wiki and Paul Rauhihi left the field. The solution is not too have both Price and Wiki on, Cleary just needs to speak with the boys and fix the evident problem.

hey lance is getting back to his old self, he has the kicking game we are missing. we will smash the eels next week.lets be positive eh.

Wiki's just getting old, but i still wouldn't trade him for the ADD Boy, Mason.
Wiki is the man, hes just getting tired quicker. Even if we put Wiki in the 2nd row i'm damn glad we kept this man.
Unfortunatly this game also exposed a negative & positive, how much these younger players look up to Wiki & Price. We are two diferent quality of teams with these 2 off, & boy does it show. We went from thrashing the bulldogs to holding them out & the bulldogs are the hardest team to hold out in the NRL. There like cave men, big charging oafs, with no care in the world about there bodies they charge the line. When you've got all your weaker defenders all bunched on the right side, it just makes there job easier.
This Parramatta game will be a look into the crystal ball into the future, our finals are 99% gone so how the boys respond will be important for our succsess next year. With Price not playing origin he'll be able to stay on longer, letting our team keep one of our leaders on at the same time. I agree with Iafeta, if we can gain the positives out of this game & build some momentuem towards next year, our team will mature as a whole & there'll be no question of IF we make the finals but what posistion we'll be.

Yep that's probably true Seb. But I was just a bit concerned, it happened before the ANZAC test match too.

What really concerned me was how we blew our game plan. I'm sure Cleary was planning to attack the bulldogs on the wings, especially El mazeris wing. Thats how most teams beat the bulldogs, no one beats them one up, up the middle of the ruck. If you watch the game again, we started by attacking the fringes. That how we got our only points but when Mason was on & Price/Wiki was off no one reminded the boys about our game plan. So we started to play one up & didn't the dogs lap it up. They unsuprisingly gang tackled us, stopped our momentuem, played down our end & scored. We didn't lose the game in extra time, we lost it in the 1st half. Price not playing the full 80 min. & reminding everyone about the game plan probably cost us the game. I think Sione was the only player who understood what was happening as he tried to spread the ball every time he touched it but unfortunatly for us Sione isn't a leader, although he did try his heart out.
