And once again we do just enough to lose by a frustratingly small margin.
Losing Nielsen was a massive blow as Manu looked lost without him and Peyroux was defensively not up to it.
Annnnnd once again... dominated by large forwards rumbling through the middle for easy metres.

With the motivation of the beating they gave us last time and a chance to play in the semis they dish that sort of performance up.

With the amount of experience some of our players now have it really is time to stop dishing out the childish mistakes.

Manu s the only player in the NRL who suffers a head injury by proxy when Nielson sprains his ankle.

Seriously it is time for Matt Elliot to man up and switch Vatuvei to the forwards.

No point hating on Manu , it is patently clear that the way he behaves ( comes in to shut the play down ) is an avoidance tactic of facing a winger one on one.

Manu can't move laterally or turn to chase a ball that's a well known NRL fact

Ivan exploited Manu's " Prop / 2nd rowerness mercilessly today and Penrith had walk up over laps every time they went his side in the first half.


I think Manu was forced at half time to stay out ( he will come in again for the reasons outlined above )

I used to think he did it because he was stupid , but watching it today he is avoiding going 1:1 with a player that's going to beat him with a step.

The reffs today were appalling.

Has Shaun Johnson just been Introduced to Konrad Hurrell in the last ten minutes of training sessions or are those two on some wait till the other team gets ahead mind trip ?

Hurrell put in some hard work takling people....give him Manu's Wing next year / or Locke / Fish

Can someone please explain the compression defence with Hurrell and manu flying infield about 30m or manu being caught between the centre and wing. Nearly every try was from poor reads and compressing in. What happened to trusting your centres to make a tackle and staying and marking your opposite wing? Its gotten ridiculous

What's changed since the winning streak? It's not like we've been played with injuries since then. It's an attitudinal and mental problem. The club needs to start weeding out players that are just not up to it mentally. Otherwise you are just going to continue to breed a team of chokers.
