General Warriors chasing Finch and Smith

I doubt his peraonally would suit the (Finch). At all clubs he has been at he has had fall outs with senior players. He strikes me as an arrogant differcult player to deal with.

anyone watching the under 20s ...i reckon we should just wait for shaun johnson to be ready for first grade....this kid is freak...sheer pace , great step and has a great long pass...
his kicking game is improving since the start of the year , hes alot more acurate ,, his goal kicking well.... lets not let him kick for goals .lol

I think his defence is really improving, not improved enough for the NRL yet though.

He'll probably get some first-grade time next year at the earliest.

It has to be Tim Smith, ive been saying it for over a year now. He's got an excellent short kicking game, great vision, communicates well on the field, puts players into gaps with his nice passing game, specialist halfback, only 24 years old. And like someone else said earlier he would be a suitable halves partner to Joel Moon. Most of all hes capable of leading a team from halfback to winning a premiership.

If we dont go after Tim Smith, warriors should consider Ben Hunt. Off contract, 2008 Toyota Cup player of the year and probably wont stay at the Broncoes with Darren Lockyer poised to sign a 2 year deal, and Peter Wallace already signed up long term. But future star.

No Brett Finch, worse case senario if we dont sign anyone, we still have Shaun Johnson who will be in the halves for the Warriors in the future anyway. Actually worse case senario is we dont sign anyone and resign Stacey Jones.

Nah Timmy Smith is not a player I'd want on this squad.. for many reasons (both on & off the field)..

I'd prefer Finch to be honest, he would be ideal for this team. If we can somehow get him on the cheap ie about the same as Witt was on, that would leave us room to pick up someone like Pritchard

No, the figure is 80 over the 2 years.

We have debuted Sonny Fai, Ben Matulino, Russell Packer, Leeson Ah Mau, Daniel O'Regan and Kevin Locke. So 6. Which would be about average, or just above.

The only good I can see from Smith is that IF he does come to the Warriors he pretty much STFU stay out of the spot light play footy, end of story. But other then that, hell no Tim Smith can go and play the 'mental card' else where. Dont want him dont care for him.

Him, sure of it. Everyone could see it coming and it was no surprise when he did play that card. It was just another excuse for his drinking.

Im all for giving a guy another chance, but Smith took more then one and failed on every commitment he ever made to get himself right. After he dragged the Eels through the media I wouldn't want him at my Warriors club, I dont care if hes the next Michael Jordan, no thank you.

I think the "family" orientated club that the Warriors is would be great for Tim Smith. He's much better than Finch.

Finch is too hot headed. A great attribute for Wado or as a forward but not your halfback

good idea with ben hunt. havent seen him actually play but heard good things. being behind lockyer and wallace would be frustrating.

Totally disregard Brett Finch, signing Finch would be a waste of money, and a backward step for the Warriors. My preference would be Tim Smith. But if we can't get him we could go for Ben Barba, who's out of favour at the Bulldogs but consistantly craves it up in the under20s. He's a game breaker, fast, needs to work hard on his D. Good goal kicker too. Either that or Dan Hunt who I mention before.

He's since gone to England and behaved like a schoolgirl. Wigan have managed his issues well.
