Just got Home , always a huge relief to beat the best club in Rugby league.
Will have a good look at the Tape tonight to see what was happening on the right , very pleased Elliot rushed Peroux out to shut it down , he got a chunk of minutes today and was outstanding on defense and Attack.
Possibly Peroux should come on after the first bad read or miss on that side next time , shut it down early...easy to say though.
You really can't tell much about where the Warriors are after those games as far as the season stands. One of the idiosyncrasies of the Rivalry......we could have as easily pulled off that result while sitting in 16th.
Mental / Psychological points go to the winner of those games and that's about it.....form means nothing before and so can't tell you anything after ward.
But we keep winning , we get two points , and we survived the last twenty minutes of vulnerability.
Standing under out goal posts you could see our players were expecting to have the prize taken from them , but Dominique Peroux shifted the momentum in the favor of the Warriors.
Not too worried about the right side because Laumape struggled in the first storm game as well , Bellamy targeted the edges as much as he targeted the player.
When Peroux shut the right side down, the Storm as easily took Manu's side apart.
We can't expect anything else really I mean it's not Rocket science ( Melbourne Warriors strengths and weaknesses ) , as well we know 'take to them up the middle ' , they know to go wide ( cue the crazy short kick to their Right Wing when there was no need for the Storm to panick......there was 15 minutes plus on the clock and they were a measly 8 points down......It wasn't panic footy......if you think about it they're just implementing the game plan to pressure Manu and Laumape , Dane and Hurrell.......
One thing that has always stood out between these two teams without needing to see the replay ( you get a better perspective Live at the fence in line with our backline )........My daughter and I went to the fence line in the first try ( she replayed that part before to see herself Jumping up and down LOL )
The Melbourne Storms timing is superior , no one delays their run onto the ball, or reaches behind them to catch a pass , by comparison in that one movement we looked like a stilted team of trick jugglers.......
You hope each generation that the spine will be smooth , it never comes , next year TL's passing at hooker and someone else better at ball distribution than our current squad will go a long way to winning the comp
