Gavet rolls over a few and offloads. Getting big ups. John passes to Robinson who sets up Nafetalai. Conversion misses. Wolves 20 - 14 Vulcans.

Wolves make a huge break. Earl had the FB to beat but couldn't. Gets an offload away, as does another player but it goes to a Vulcan.

Then Heta makes a break, only had to pass to John to score but blows it. Ball thrown behind his supports.

Windsor makes a long break from the turnover. Ryan Walker goes in. Kick is good. 26-14.

We're doing pretty well considering they've added NRL players and we're missing some really handy players.

Vulcans getting a rap are Gavet, Gelling, and Godinet. The first 2 in particular.

Penalty to the Vulcans. Tap taken but Caird - who has otherwise played well - drops it.

Iosefa tries to go over from 6 out. Ignores his outsides. Bad call, drops the ball in contact.

After a set apiece Wolves drop it (Yileen Gordon)

Vulcans on the 5th. 1m out. Earl takes it and grabs a quick restart.

Seluini over after supporting a bust. 32 - 14. Conversion added.

20 odd minutes to go.

Wolves over again. Sene-Lefao over. Gratefully accepts a flick pass from a team-mat who was collared by Godinet, who has been playing fullback for the last 20 mins.

44 - 14.

Vulcans are gone. Too much tacking in the first half and the 12 point turnaround has done them in.

Nafe ripping up now. Big break. Lots of support, passes, but they drop it.

Godinet decides he can do that too, nearly beats 6 players but dragged down. Eventually Penehe goes over after Metcalf sets up from dummy half.

44 - 18. 5 mins to go.

Godinet sets up John. Try.

Godinet has played hooker, halfback, 5/8, and fullback today.

44 - 24.

While I'm typing, Nafetalai beats plenty. They score from the ptb.

44 - 28

Scoreboard is different to what the commentator says.

Apparently a Windsor conversion was missed and they should have 42.

Add in the Vulcans extras and at full-time we have:

Wolves 42 - 30 Vulcans.

Not a bad result considering who was missing. Hopefully at least one NZ league team can win this week =/

Yeah, sounds like Gavet is really putting his hand up. Every time he got the ball the commentators noted how much of a handful he was.

Louisi's position as the next go to might be taken by Gelling some day.

Godinet needs to find a club to play first grade at. He does too many special things to not get a shot and see how he goes.

Everything I hear or see about Metcalf says strong in attack, but leaves too many holes in D, but Nafetalai seems to do everything well.
