General Villa comes "home" for the game on Saturday

Long-time Vodafone Warrior Richard Villasanti is coming back to Auckland to face his old team-mates at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday night.
Villasanti has been named on Cronulla's five-man bench for the Sharks' first NRL match in Auckland since 2003.
The front rower made just one first-grade appearance for the Vodafone Warriors this year before being released to join Cronulla in May.
After making his debut in 2001, he made 96 appearances for the Vodafone Warriors, falling just short of joining only 10 players who have played 100 NRL matches for the club.
The full Cronulla side is: Brett Kearney; Darren Albert, Nigel Vagana, Ben Pomeroy, Luke Covell; Adam Dykes, Brett Kimmorley (c); James Stosic, Kevin Kingston, Luke Douglas; Reece Williams, Lance Thompson; Paul Gallen. Interchange - Richard Villasanti, Matt Hilder, Cameron Ciraldo, Beau Scott, Darren Mapp.

i hate villa, apparently he hates pricey, i hope pricey smashes him so he gets sent off the field "pretendin" to hav an injury just coz he cant handle the warriors....mightyness, or even better he gets sent off the field coz pricey has broken a couple of his bones! he said that warriors were stale or somethin along those lines, i hope he rots...ROTS!!!! There are no doubt hundreds - if not tthousands - of players who would love to play for their country but never achieve that level, particularly in Australia where the player base, (and therefor competition), is huge. To say he has gone 'zero' in his rugby league career is definitely harsh. Is he the player he was in 2003? Not even close. But that doesn't mean he hasn't achieved in the past.

villa is not half the player he was in 2003. which is ashame... i dont care what team he plays for, but at his best he was so exciting to watch. i really hope he gets back to that "animal" level he was at before.

heard he might be going to the roosters. he is supposed to be the roosters plan B, since they couldnt sign roy asotasi. can anyone confirm this?
