From matches I have seen so far this season in the NRL, there seems to be some promising young Kiwi eligible talent running around at the moment.
Steve Matai went great guns against the Dragons last night, and looks to be a solid centre with linebreaking ability.
Vince Mellars must be putting in the work at Sydney City given his selection by Ricky Stuart this week. He played with enthusiasm and was good under the high ball - I hope he gets more game time.
Greg Eastwood scored his first NRL try the other night, and boy was he over the moon. Still a young gun at 18, this kid should be in a Kiwi jersey further down the track. He was a star performer for the Jr Kiwis as well last year.
Tame Topou. He's a monster! His talent is still a bit raw at present but you can tell he's an imposing figure on the footy field just watching him walk out. Imagine Vatuvei and Tupou as wingers for the Kiwis ... scary!
Bluey seems to have a good number of options for outside back selections - if only that were the case with the halves
