Internationals Up and coming Kiwis.

From matches I have seen so far this season in the NRL, there seems to be some promising young Kiwi eligible talent running around at the moment.

Steve Matai went great guns against the Dragons last night, and looks to be a solid centre with linebreaking ability.

Vince Mellars must be putting in the work at Sydney City given his selection by Ricky Stuart this week. He played with enthusiasm and was good under the high ball - I hope he gets more game time.

Greg Eastwood scored his first NRL try the other night, and boy was he over the moon. Still a young gun at 18, this kid should be in a Kiwi jersey further down the track. He was a star performer for the Jr Kiwis as well last year.

Tame Topou. He's a monster! His talent is still a bit raw at present but you can tell he's an imposing figure on the footy field just watching him walk out. Imagine Vatuvei and Tupou as wingers for the Kiwis ... scary!

Bluey seems to have a good number of options for outside back selections - if only that were the case with the halves :(

Agree with You Mark W

Steve Matai looked really good against the Dragons

Made some awesome Breaks and good offloads.

Reminded me of Lauititi in his hey day

mellars was and still is a player of promise
but with him getting the fed ex treatment
getting mailed everywhere

he seems to have lost his confidence
and within the time frame of movement
he could be forgiven for being on the outer

its good to see him get a start for the roosters
on the recommendation of freddy fitler

who was a quality international player
who can prolong a career
with his own personal backing

and also with the roosters revolving door of injuries
the kid could be getting more starts
and hopefully taking his opportunity
and fulfilling the promise that he had shown
while bleeding warrior blood

eastwood, is out of all the above players
the kid that could definitley get to the kiwi squad

this kids tender age
dosent out weigh his impressive
on feild performances

not only with him dotting down his debut try
against the roosters

but with also the kids work rate and defence
in the previous rounds against the sharks
he put some bell ringers on that shark pack
maiava and leuluai were recepients of that defence

this along with the rest of his impressive starts
will be something that will put him in goosd stead
for the not to distance future for higher representative honours

and being under benett
and learning his trade
amongst a quality pack and team
the kid will only get better

and also another strong bonus
is that this kid is ours
and will not be steered towards other allegiances
and that word is bond.....
straight from the lads......oldman
a kiwi through and through

no easily lead benett whipping boy here
like the hunt debacle lads...
