General U20s Team

He didnt play halfback for Wai Coa Bay Colts? Think I remember him getting knocked around vs Otahuhu? Still quite young...

Apologies Warriors, Liam is in the Warriors Development squad.
That's him bro, 17 going on 18 years, has some talent and a big heart.
Not much of him, but he puts it on the line.
Was concussed in the Otahuhu game.
Came back stronger after that game.
If he don't move forward, then we will get a better player back in Ngaruawahia.
Just hope, when he does come back, it is after a successful career or a great attempt trying to make the dream.

Juniors spent a week in a military based training camp led by a former SAS soldier. Judging by some of the comments the U20's got their asses kicked big time…

The 45-man Junior Warriors league squad has just completed a training camp which was held at Camp Morley in Clarks Beach, a seaside settlement on the south-western outskirts of Auckland.

The unique schedule was designed by a former Army trainer, who says the main objective is to push players to their absolute limits, so that they'll dig deep to strengthen their discipline and team work.

Senior player Konrad Hurrell from the Warriors says that the camp was one of the hardest he has ever had to endure.

He also says that the duration of the exercises provides quite the mental test.

According to Konrad Hurrell, “It's taken me to a new level in everything, mental, physical, pretty much everything.”

The coaches said this was an opportune time for the players to equip and prepare themselves for this year's U20 Holden Cup competition.

Good to see the Pommie lads there as well as Konrad. Thinking maybe Hurrell came back from Tonga a little overweight from all the spit roast pig he would have eaten:D...

I know 2 x of our hawks boys are travelling away because we have the rest that aren't injured playing for us this weekend. I hear Sam and Tui won't be going back down to the 20's , they are going to be a permanent fixture in the nsw cup side.

Interesting with Gubb and Vete in depth will Lisone be able to break into the main squad eventually ?. Don't forget they have Papalii also.

Who are the 2 boys traveling ?

Hey all. Does any one know how I can watch the NYC/Reserve games this year?? Can't find anything on Sky? I love watching the juniors and following them up.

I really like the look of Pauli Tauli.
I think he will really intimidate some of the boys from Aussie clubs.
Did he make Sunday's team?

He didn't from what I heard, he's playing for Papakura this weekend in a trial game.
Stink… must be a fitness thing. To me he seems like a standout - saw him in the residents team last year and in the junior trials this season. Definitely seemed the equal if not better than any other propping options

Best news I have heard all week!!!

Most likely fitness. The reports Ive heard from some of the NYC lads is that are getting caned on the fitness front. Pauli does have a lot of potential but he's going to need to want it. Big future if he gets it together...

Any news on Vete and Tuimavave Gerrad ? also, how good is it too see the Poms make the grade for the NYC ? Baldwinson has got his spot in the starting line up.
He looked devastated after the Wigan loss. That's a good sign in one so young at a Warriors club.

Why haven't they publicised this team? It's very odd and frustrating as a fan not to know who has been selected.
