Congratulations to the Mana Outkast under 14 league team, winners of the MRL under 14 Grand Final. The team included PNBHS students Joseph Ratcliffe (captain), Hunter Kennedy, Santino Pekepo-Tevaga, Dre Cook-Nelio, Paula Matafahi, Bailey Ngatai-Cribb, Jamie Viljoen, Armani Mason, Vili Rongokea Tupou, Kayde Watson, Aidyn Adam’s, Kisione Ma’asi, and Jack Culshaw. The team is coached by Old Boy Nikau Tangaroa.

Didnt catch the kids name but a player from Palmerston North was also very impressive. Caucasian looking wearing Maroon SOO shorts. Was playing in the halves. Another one that was highly skilled, fit, aware but also very tenacious. Played hard all day on attack and defence where he had an amazing technique that hit high and stopped players dead.

So this was the kid that I spoke about in last years trials. I was blown away by his skill and stamina. He just didn't quit all day and IMHO was the MVP for every game he played. Complete stand out. Was talking to Cameron George that day and he was also quite impressed by Joseph as well.

Calling it now. Kids going to go a long way in this game. Not sure whether fullback is his best position. See him as an awesome lock type player but all depends on his size later on. Definitely a player to watch out for...

Was he the trialist you pointed out a while ago mt.wellington or was he scouted long before that. Seems crazy to just unearth a talent like that from a trial..

That's him bro. From what I know he was picked up at the trial but was also invited to do so as opposed to being registered...
