I am on trade me bidding for some rugby league stuff....does anyone else think its a bit funny when people out bid themselves...or is it a rig up?

The key is...you want the stuff for the lowest possible price...so wait till the end of the flaming :x auction.... then bid till you can't match the other bidder or you win for a great price.
Don't waste your money driving up the price from the get go.

The other thing is I don't know alot of you guys....cause I haven't been here so long but ( and I don't know if this is cheating or something but it seem smart to me.. at this time).....maybe if we knew each others trade me name we could avoid shelling out lots of cash for league stuff to out bid each other.......although if we could cause some interesting discussions on here when we do really want the same stuff....haha

Anyone got any thoughts..... I am on trade me as.... the_vines.

No one knows the reserve of something.

If I bid $16 and the reserve is $18 then it will say the auction has not reached reserve. So in effect, my bid means jack all.

So people bid themselves up till it hits reserve. Then the real bidding begins.

Oh, is that what it means Wiki. I bid for a jersey and the resreve was met Around 400 bucks. Silly me, it went for 1500 aye. Still I hung in there for a while.
