General Tony Martins Growing.

As I was one of the "Tony Martin Bashers" I must admit I am impressed in what he is doing. He has tightened up in the defensive department, and his goal-kicking aint all that bad either.
Tony just seem more confident on the field after returning from a fairly long lay-off.
Just thought I'd give him a plug as he seems to go unnoticed lately.

I have never been in the Martin bashing group although I do not think that he should be placed on the wing due to his lack of speed.
His defence is sound, his experience invaluable, attacking play is solid and kicking is 1st class. Like John Carlaw having him in the team gives balance to a backline i.e. - individual flair such as Toopi.

Good on him.

I never new he had so much pace, twice he has gone round his man to score.
I wasnt happy he was picked cause plenty of people can kick, but he has stood up and is playing really really well.
Congrats to him for coming back so strong from such a bad injury

I have always thought he was a talent, and I don't think there is anyone that is on the field all game that kicks anywhere near as well as him.

His defence has always been sound, but now it is just getting better. Plus, he has won a premiership, that is always handy experience.

Yeah, he's been going well. I'd like him to put on some muscle as he sometimes is easy to lift or fend, he's a bit light for a centre but he's been very effective of late. Has a good football brain.

He looked OK at fullback in the Raiders trial.

He's at least 200% better than his first year (i won't count his second year given he played about 1 and 1/2 games).

Plus he's very passionate about being here.

He played like he meant it out there on Saturday, and his field goal percentage is what? Over 85% accuracy, I`m thinkin`.

try 100% AK. 7/7 conversion plus 2 penalties gave him 9/9.

Agree he looked more like JC out there on Saturday night.

Anybody see him get fended off like a Rag Doll against the West Tigers a couple of weeks back? - Defence right?

The next play was a MASSIVE hit on Paul Whats from Koopu!

Yeah it's concerning how easily he can be pushed around sometimes, considering the trend is for bigger centres that are mobile and physical more than ever

Martin's biggest problem was fear, the guy came that close to getting paraylised. He's been on this special bone protein medicine, which act's like a steriod for bone development. This guy has got HUGE coconuts for even getting back into the squad. I don't think that was bad form a few weeks ago, i think that was fear.
I don't know if cleary felt sorry for him or management didn't want another pj marsh incident but the great thing is either way it's paid off. Whether he leaves the warriors or not, unlike what happened with pj marsh we've done the right thing.

I was watching the replay from Saturday and that scar on his neck is huge and a little disturbing. Anyone who comes back from that kind of stuff deserves a medal.
