Wests Tigers happy

Aside from the result, the Wests Tigers are more than happy with the arrangement to use Christchurch as a New Zealand NRL home venue.

Fourteen thousand people turned out to watch Saturday's clash between the Wests Tigers and Warriors, with the Warriors grabbing their first win this season.

Wests Tigers CEO Steve Noyce says it was well worth the trip from a commercial point of view.

Noyce says having five New Zealanders in the team also helps.

Start saving people and see you next year

Apparently, when they were playing the Warriors at home, the crowds
were really small. Less than 8000 from memory.

Cheers

I thought becoming premiers would increase their home crowds, even if they dont do as well this year. Still im not complaining, it's brilliant having NRL in this part of the world!
