I appreciate the necessity for this thread and the opportunity for various parties to have their say and others their reactions, but I feel like it has served its purpose. While I don't disagree with the actions taken and am pleased to have the air cleared - the individual in question is unable to have a right of reply, and further discourse on this makes me uncomfortable. Probably only a couple of posters that i really tend to sit up and take notice of when they post inside scoops - Mt Wellington and the name escapes me of the other one. Used to be an excellent poster on the old forum years ago, a chic actually - Patu - had one of the best analytical League brains ive ever encountered on a forum but was always 100% spot on in any scoops she had.....wonder what happened to her.

For those that don't know, your posts Boats n Hoes are also worth reading...

Yep - think you just successfully articulated the awkward feeling I had building also.

I’d swapped a couple of tweets with geepee in the last couple of months as I do with Tony Adams on occasion but I don’t look to share any insights for fear of getting the tap turned off - and ultimately not being able to satisfy my own curiosity.

Fair to say neither were overwhelmingly accurate often but both were fun to keep the intrigue going.

Kestrel84 is right, after everyone’s had a bit of time to read and add a note - might be a good one to close out.

Mods - I’ve said it before, thank you. I ran a YouTube Channel (lawncare) for a little over 3yrs and it’s easy for an audience to overlook just how much goes into these things. You lads have done a great job for a very long time - thank you, you do it very well.

The off season entertainment this year has been pretty good - some good non-league related banter. However this situation takes the cake. Funny thing is right from the start I’d totally dismissed geepee as being anything more than what he is - someone who grabs a bit of info from here or there but has no contacts or insights beyond any other punter… however when the most earnest and honest of all posters, Wrighty began posting some ‘good oil’, well I was def ready to believe it - I’d just assumed he’d been at a bbq or something & shared a few beers with someone like Cappy & got all the intel.

With that all done and dusted, how about an off-season game now Wrighty, a bit of dragons tail so we can kick Defence’s butt again?

Like a few other posters, he reminded me of Iron Lion back in the day and I figured the spelling was an affectation. What would I know.

To Wrighty and others, don't sweat it. You only have to pick up the paper every day to see how ordinary people get taken advantage of.

I know for a fact that he is full of shit. Back in 2016 he tried to tell me concerning a player that I am actually good friends with. When I rang that player he laughed at me and had no idea what I was talking about. 10 minutes later I get a call back from that player who had just spoken to his manager and even he didn't know anything. From that moment on I knew he was BS...

This wouldn't be when there were two players rumoured to be going to Souths and the comments from the meat man sponsor?

I can't recall what year that was but we've had a few where things have gone nuts on here and then moved to other forums with rumours of one of our guys moving on.

It must be a pain for players sometimes. Busy getting the gear together for the weekend, or busy picking up the kids before they head away for the weekend, or stuck in rehab. Someone has a rumour you've been visiting another club or had an argument with someone at the club you haven't seen for 4 weeks.

Go for a walk outside. Try to engage with the real world. Talk to a friend. Family. Neighbour. Guy at the petrol station. Call helpline if you need to. Visit a doctor/specialist
