I prefer to watch the games on tv, but the few times i've been to the warriors games in the past, I've always sat in the east stand. When you need to go toilet, you had a long walk because they were underneath the stands, and there were never enough, and there were always long queues.. it would take about 10 minutes to take a leak and get back to your seat. buying food would also take an age, because of long lines, etc. well, my first game back at mt smart stadium since they've added the new east stand, I see thats all changed!
They seem to have a block of toilets in every part of the stand.. it took me about 15 seconds to get from my seat to the toilet. They have tv screens everywhere (including IN the toilets) so you can watch the action if you're late buying your hotdog.. theres a big area inside the stand where you can socialise or stretch your legs.. and theres food places everywhere as well now it seems! so no long waits anymore.
also.. are you sick of soft drinks or beer at the game? you can now buy quality coffee where the north stand used to be! i think thtas a great idea. being able to have a nice hot drink during the middle of winter. also i notice that they've got bigger and more replay screens on the ground! since they got rid of the north stand, even a crowd of 8,000 makes the stadium look like its packed. I honestly thought there was 11,000 at the penrith game.
I scored freebies to the paramatta game, so I'll be able to enjoy the facilities once again. I'm really looking forwards to it.
