Realistically, with Leuluai probably playing 6/7 next year, I'd prefer to see Tuimavave in the centres where he showed great touches. He has enough speed to cover defence and with Hiku may provide an unknown quality on that right hand edge. Unfortunately for Henry and Taylor, its season over and time to reincarnate their career over the offseason and come back fresh. They are slightly jaded after being fvorced with huge expecatations this year has affected their last six games.

But if Henry doesn't play then who on earth is going to kick the goals?

A kicker?

Hell no.

1. Fish - Purely because Locke is injured and the team cannot afford to be carrying an injured player for another game...Only naming Fish because the NRL Injury list doesn't include him so I'm assuming that he is fit to play.
2. Tupou - sadly there is no other option...although I would love to see Dylan Collier get a run!
3. Mannering (C)
4. Hurrel
5. Manu - there isn't really any other option
6. Maloney
7. Johnson
8. Packer
9. Friend
10. Matulino - if injured Lillyman
11. Mateo
12. Taylor
13. Luck

14. Brown
15. Lillyman/Sam Lousi
16. Sione Lousi
17. Rapira/Ikahihifo
18. Tuimavave - in for Maloney if injured, if not then in for Mannering and move Mannering to SR in place of Taylor who will take Brown's bench spot

I wouldn't play any of the U20s - let them have all their gun players so they can take out the Minor Premiership and hopefully the title.

In that case:

Fish or Locke if Fish is injured
Tupou - no other option
Henry
Mannering
Vatuvei - didn't play great but didn't have a shocker like most of the others
Johnson
Godinet
Packer
Friend
Lillyman
Mateo
Taylor
Luck

Rapira
Brown
Lousi
Ikihihifo

I would play Hurrell on the wing over Tupou and then throw carlos in at centre (assuming maloney is fit)

Hurell would be a target on the wing as his defence is terrible ... so is Tupou too,

Well the biggest question will be who plays at 6 with Maloney very likely gone. I would give Tuimavave a run there. I know TL is the likely starter there next year, but Carlos has been touted as the next big thing for a couple of years now and I'd like to see what he has to offer. Also, Colin Best shurgged him off way way too easily to run 50m and set up a try today. Is he a future centre? I don't see him being picked ahead of Hurrell, Nielsen, Henry next year...not based on that sort of defence.

For those suggesting the Fish, is he even alive? The dude hasn't played in weeks has he? An unfit Fish on the wing, in first grade, well it's a recipe for yet another disaster.

Surely godinet would be the first choice.. . otherwise release him

As for not picking him at centre ahead of henry, (lesser extent hurrell) - a little funny comment
considering nobody would of even considered him an option
Also remember his first game..he got carved up by manly.
Even now he cant beat a man or setup a winger.

Though I do love his attitude and effort.

I guess I didn't suggest Godinet because I don't see him as a player that's up to NRL standard. Certainly not at hooker, and likely not in the halves. I know he gets a lot of man-love around here, but I simply just don't rate him, that's all.

Actually you do make a good point, it was Carlos' first game and it was a shit one to debut in. I wouldn't mind seeing him line up at centre next week, though against the Cowboys in Townsville, another tough one to find your feet at this level.

My point is he hasnt ever really at a REAL go at NRL level.
Has he ever been give more than 2+ games in a row.
Yet he has been on the books for the past 3 years????

Carlos was and is never going to be an option at 6 in the NRL imo (a big imo)
At the best situation he could be a john sutton ....not that thats a good thing lol

His future is in the centres or fullback.
Should of been promoted following a year in the vulcans.....
yet wi

As for Bluey not wanting to pick Ukuma tai is laughable.
you arent in a position to be picky.....iron out the differences

If our season is well and truely fucked, then why not let some fringe players have a crack in their preffered positions?

Slimey at Fullback (Christ, Locke needs a rest - let him start his off-season a month early)
Carlos at 5/8th (Maloney is off next year anyway)

Players like Benry, Taylour, Lousi are probably absolutely knackered by playing almost a full season of NRL, regardless of their abilities (and Sharkey is leaving, so why play him?)

Ditto Michael Luck
