Who is the greatest ever warrior?

Since I’m on holidays but have Covid so stuck isolating I thought I’d start an off season thread for my own amusement.
It will be done in a survivor style format with one player voted out per day. As they are eliminated I will remove them as a voting option until we are left with the greatest ever warrior as per the your votes.
The ten players were chosen simply because they were the first 10 names to come up in a google search of “nz warriors best players”.
Some u could argue about but overall I think it’s pretty close to the mark.
Vote for the player u want to eliminate from the competition.

Yeah tbh now I look at it I’m struggling to come up with a vote myself.
I’m thinking it’s between toopi, wiki (great player but spent his best years at Canberra) and luck….

I'm voting Manu off the island. There is no denying his contribution to the Warriors on the field but the whole importation of Meth thing makes it an easy decision considering the competition in this list. You can't vote while in jail, so in my eyes you can't be voted for either

After reading up a bit I can’t vote luck out- 150 games plus played almost the entire 2011 Gf with a broken wrist! And topped the tackle count!

Yeah I think you’re right- wiki gets my vote.

I hadn’t thought about what happens in the case of a draw (and it’s looking quite close) so I’m gonna make a rule up on the run….
In the case of a draw, whoever played the most games for the club will progress to the next round.

Definitely not referring to anyone or anything in particular /s, but just thought I would bring up that the NFL named a team of the 100 best players of all time just a couple years ago and O.J. Simpson was named



As Defence said, everyone can have their own criteria, and if a player is/was a [redacted] after their career ended is a deal breaker for you then that is fair enough, but it is okay to recognise someones playing career separately to their post playing days.

Again, I am definitely not referring to anyone in particular haha

Yeah he could’ve got a run- probably misses out because he played less games than all those guys- campion and Harris in a similar boat.
Probably should’ve made it 100 game minimum- wiki is the only one from the list who would’ve missed out then.
Maybe hohaia or matulino could’ve been in his place…
Didn’t give it too much thought tbh.
