General Superleague Coverage For 2013?

Does anyone know whether sky will be showing the u.k superleague this year or will I have to scrub up on my maori language again this year. Not meaning any offence but I enjoyed the u.k stuff better when sky had the rights to it because it wasn't delayed and I could watch a game without having a dictonary to figure out what was going on during the game.

I thought that the Maori channel did the ESL coverage really well in 2012. Could do without the language lessons throughout the coverage but i thought they did a good job of the coverage. Agreed that live coverage would be an improvment though.

If maori tv coverage starts on the 17th they had better do a bit of a league marathon for us league fans because according to the super league website the first televised game is on the 1st of february. Sick of seeing us league fans having to wait for coverage of the game we love. I bet if sky did this to the rugby union there would be a national uproar.

ESL is never too much to write home about always the big 3 challenging for the title year in year out Leeds,St Helens,Wigan and more recently Warrington but apart from the Challenge Cup and ESL finals series their round robin is lacklustre and I just can't stand those dickhead pommy commentators so I'm not to fussed who has the rights to broadcast it I really only watch the major games anyway.

Im exactly the same. I'd be desperate to ever watch a Salford Reds vs Wakefield Trinity Wildcats or the Hull Kingston Rover vs Castleford tigers. I can only watch the big guns play or if there happens to be a former Warrior playing that Im keen to see how their going now. Whether we like the salary cap or not, it certainly creates a leveler playing field...

I don't mind watching the odd ESL game, the intensity is no match for the NRL but there's no shortage of skill there, fills a gap but nothing I'd be pissed off with If I missed!

The Service from dummy half and general passing in the ESL is outstanding in this game. Top hookers over there can deliver a ball ( we've got one playing half in our team don't we ? )

Just watching the Wigan Leeds game and I like the graphics they used at halftime - a map showing where the playdaballs were and a typhoon graph of all the sets etc.

I'm finding it too hard to keep track of the delayed games , there is no build up so you don't really know unless you can be bothered digging around what the relevance of any of the games are apart from the big teams.

It's not Maori TV's Fault Sky are shit with League coverage , Maori TV won't have the budget to buy the live package , gotta be thankful they cover it at all.

Been wondering where our sister club are placed on their table , It's been so long since I Followed their game I don't have a feel for the meaningfulness of the Superleague title versus the Challenge Cup titles ?

The challenge cup was all there was pre super league so whats the difference ?


Might have to start following the Wigan team in earnest again ( More Jerseys to buy Mt Wellington ? especially the preseason dedication War of the Warriors tribes LOL )

They have a nice Kit actually , If we see Tomkins here next year there will be a handful of those Jerseys popping up in the stands at Mt smart.

I'ts a goody....Wigan are seven players ( most of their Forward pack ) down from Injury , Tomkins baby brother debuts at hooker ( coincidence ? .........jks )

Anthony Gelling finally gets a run. Tomkins gets smashed inside the first five minutes I'll leave it there well worth a check out for a Star player under a lot of pressure in that game without their usual goo forward / combinations...... i haven't changed my thoughts.......defense and passing was why I watched the Full eighty to see if he drifts out of games like our young stars
