Yeah, I heard it was a great game.

15,400 turned up to watch! Great idea from the NRL to put the game on a Friday after Origin on Wednesday!

Thats the biggest crowd there since 2000 if my sources are correct ;).

I didn't see the match - I only read the live updates. But it sounded like a pretty scrappy game, with several errors from both sides, plus a host of injuries.

Having said that, though, a win is a win.

Yeah, I think it was Storm who got a few injuries however it seemed both came back on and played so they can't have been too bad.

I heard it was scrappy from some people but also said it was a tough match with some hard hitting.

Yeah, good crowd and a hard tough match. Pity Locky couldn't orchestrate a Melbourne double within two days but it was a good match nonetheless.

Don't think so, they usually play their best after Origin. Saw a stat somewhere that said that their last 9 games played after Origin they had won 8 or something, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, they only had Civoniceva and Locky backing up so it shouldn't have been too much of an issue, Melbourne are just in red-hot form.

Yeah, but that was Melbourne's 13th straight win at home, if we had won 13 straight at home I think the crowds would be much bigger.

They had a few more backing up (Tate, Carroll, Berrigan) but it didn't surprise me that Melb won. Remembering that Hunt and Hodges are out through injury, Melb were pretty hot favs at the TAB, and justified this.

Oh yeah, don't know how I missed them.

There's nothing wrong with the way Melb are playing; don't get me wrong there. I would just like them to start losing so it makes our (warriors that is) job easier playing them! haha

Another way of looking at it, Ravs, is that every opponent they beat means there are potentially two less points needed by the Warriors to make the top eight. ;)
