General Stop bagging the boys

I had a guy at work bagging the warriors today (which I am sick of hearing) and I had to admit 'yeah were playing like crap but hey so are the roosters, eels, rabbits and just cause the raiders beat us doesn't exclude them from the crap list. Someones gotta lose and its our turn now, lets build up a team that will be a force in the future not just look for quick fixes and it will be our turn in the sunshine again. Just a matter of faith.

We have lost 4 from our 6, we can only lose 4 games now till the end of the year if we want to make the 8 and we are the only team whose season campaign is going into Round 7. We also have and according to the sportal poll:

I get a bit tired of hearing people do that to, sometimes what I say is:
"Can't you think of anything else to say?" Yeah there are teams going pretty badly too and yet people don't really say anything bad...maybe it's because of what happened earlier in the year or the fact they too are living in the past I'm not sure. Sometimes it's best not to listen to those type of people. They'll probably never change.

The general opinion of the public is not very high. Even during 2002, I had a conversation once which went something like:

person: the warriors? they suck
me: what? we came 1st at the end of the season and won the minor premiership? what about the 14 teams below us?
person: so?
me: but we had the best attacking record that year?
person: yeah, so?
me: but we made the grand final and only narrowly lost?

... dont expect the publics attitude to the Warriors to change until we start putting great seasons back to back.

Why cant people bag them? I bet you bag music artists just like Britney Spears or 50 Cent etc, probably cause theyre not that important in your life.

People bag the warriors, cause theyre not like us, they dont obsess with every game coming up, scan the web looking for news and gossip, or make sure they watch every game live and then the re run if we win.

Its nothing personal. I bet people are bagging the rolling stones right now in wellington..........

"Cant you think of anything else to say?" is not an argument. Next time, mention a try scoring play from a recent game, or a big hit from one of our players that jolted the ball loose and forced a turnover, or a magical linebreak and turn of pace from one of our backs...... stuff like that. Then try reciting stats like "most offloads" or "metres gained" if they still wont shutup. Or try comparing players from different rounds.. compare fullbacks or props.. explain how their form has been better.

Are we ment to congradulate them when they lose?
Or pat them on the back when they drop a ball leading to another try.
Give them slap on the back and thank them when they knock off and conced tries at the end of each half?
How many hundred thousand are these guys on?

The negatives they are getting is well deserved.

Someone has to come last is true, but does it have to be us every season?

I didn't know it was that bad theres no way way we can go through this season and only lose 4 games,this seasons gone, oh well lets try and build
something for next year.
