The Melbourne fullback Billy Slater faces his third suspension of the season and Newcastle's captain Andrew Johns has also been charged by the National Rugby League's match review committee.

Slater's missed nine matches through suspension already in 2006 and has been charged with grade one striking in the Storm's win over Wests Tigers,'

He'll miss two games if he enters an early plea or decides to fight the charge and is found guilty at the judiciary.

Johns was charged with striking opposite number Josh Lewis in the Knights' win over the Sydney Roosters but can escape a suspension with an early guilty plea.

I feel a bit sorry for Slater, things just haven't gone his way this year. But in saying that; when you commit the crime or the offence in this case then you've got to pay the time. Wasted talent him sitting on the sidelines again.
As for Joey, well that's a first I've heard him ever getting charged for anything! haha
