I doubt we'll have much room under the cap to buy any big name players. I think we may get a couple more lessor knowns such as Luck, Gatis and Rovelli.

If we were to go after some players though I'd be looking at a second rower to replace Guttenbeil if he leaves (Frank Pritchard), a genuine hooker of which there aren't many available outside of Priddis (quality) and Woolford (no thanks). Also depending on how Ropati goes for the rest of the year I'd have a look at a five eight/halfback, Scott Hill or Matthew Head come to mind.

I doubt we're going to have much room to move under the salary cap though, and even if we do it's far too early to worry about it now. The rumours/movements will come after June 30.

Possibly.
I have a feeling though that the club may not resign Toopi - to ESL -therefore they'll be enough $$ to resign Webb. As previously mentioned by others there will not be alot of $$ left to sign quality players.
To be quite honest the Warriors would have to pay way above the market rate to attract quality players (Aussies) over to this side of the Tasman. This due to relocation to a new country and the fact that the Warriors will finish way outside of the 8 ie - why would a good player want to go to one of the less successful clubs?
We may see a few 'journeymen' turn up in 2006.

In other words, "has-beens" that can't pick up a first grade contract with another NRL club, sad but true

Yeah, unless we lose a player with a big salary then it will just be some journeymen players who get given a second chance or a young player trying to break first-grade. I would rather have Webb than a few average players though.

Webb is the MOST important person at the Warriors at the moment. Some may argue Price, but Price is 34 next year and thats why I would not pick him. Price and Webb are just amazing on the field. Webb made about 3 try saving tackles (on Cooper, then when he got hit high and lost the ball and made a try saver, and one earlier on in the match on Barret). He along with the other Warriors had problems with his hands tonight, but overall we could add another 12 points to the team deficit if Webb was not there.
