General Should off-topic posters be banned from posting?

Should off-topic posters be banned from posting (but still be allowed to read others posts), or banned from the site altogether?

I just got kicked out of the site so that I can't even read the posts now... I think that's a little OTT...

I'm not questioning the reasons for my being banned on this thread, just the controling nature of the punishment delt out...

I really love this site, cause I love the Warriors, and just banning me from posting would be enought to wreck my whole day. But I guess that doesn't satisfy the mods...

Anyway I'll still support the Warriors even if NZWarrriors.co.nz doesn't support me...

I have only known 2-3 who have been banned and 1 was a troll (ShaunJohnson7 you wanna fess up hahaha) and the other 2 were spamming dumb posts that didnt add to the content. Admins may have banned more.

Just behave yourself, no name calling and dont post every minute with one word posts and you'll be right. We all have the Warriors as our common thread so we at least have one thing in common...

Edd has been banned until start of the season because he has been told 7 times to control his posting. If after 7 times he is still unable to modify his posting than there is not much we can do. Noone else has remotely been given that many warnings. Make the job easy for the mods who are only trying to keep this place from turning into a dump and there wouldnt be a problem.

Haha yes thats one. Others including facefacts were given friendly reminders to adhere to the rules and not get person and instead chose to stop posting. He still visits but doesnt post. Id like him to though as every contributor is a valued member of this site. We want to keep the threads clean from personal attacks though and if ppl choose to forgo that condition we cant really force them.

As for the main question, edd/jack ill modify the settings so you will still be able to view mate. I know you are a fan as we all are. Agreed that not reading anything at all on here might be too harsh. Ill set it up in the next couple of days.

He did start some ok threads but the thing about his posts that used to wind my clock was putting Ha Ha after nearly every sentence, for me too much like canned laughter on a bad American sitcom. Odd thing to annoy I know but I'm odd at the best of times.

We dont mind the odd off topic post as long as you do write decent posts. Lets just say that there were a few things that edd did that he is aware of that he shouldnt have and as such was put under higher scrutiny in the past couple of months where all leeway given to most posters was excluded to him.

Mobile phones really are amazing these days... If you go into settings, put the phone on Airplane mode, leave it for a minute, then switch Airplane mode off, it changes the IP address of the phone...

And seeing as all you need for a new membership to this site is a fake email address I don't see how you can block anyone from the site without blocking every new poster who want's to join...

So I just like to say thank you for having me, it's been a blast... I've learned about all I'm going to learn from you guys and now it's time I moved along to my next project...

And to you Mt Wellington... Don't be so angry all the time. It'll shorten your life...
