I think it's pretty widely recognized that you don't really like Manu on the wing but a little be of truth in what you type could be helpful considering that the criticism of Maloney in this thread is about his defense, in particular his missed tackles. So, what's this season's much better stat does Tupou have over Manu - Tupou has missed one less tackle so far this season than Manu.

But take it one step further and Manu is effective in 68.4% of his tackles while Tupou has only been effective with 49.1% of his.

Oh i took the missed tackles into account, but i'm also taking into account the amount of errors Manu conceded while trying to clean up attacking kicks, also the amount of times he came rushing infield and failed to get anywhere near his target, allowing his opposition winger to simply jog in to score....whether you're a Manu fan or not, he has done that a ridiculous amount of times this season....added together makes for a pretty poor defensive effort this year.

I'm no more of a Tupou fan than anyone else, but his collective defensive job this season is nowhere near as bad as Vatuvei's.

The stats provided are the average effective tackles a player has made per game for the season up to that Round. I've broken the season into 4 groups as there is far too much information to provide after each game. If anyone really feels like looking at the full stats, I'll email you a pdf.

Remember the average percentage per game over the season will be different from the seasons effective tackle percentage. If anyone wants a explanation why, please ask and I'll post it latter.

Looking at Mannering's stats it's no wonder we've crumbled without him aye.
Ben Henry def's has a place in this team imo. Stats like that for a rookie are inspiring, and as much as I tried not to like him, I'd shake his hand and buy him a drink any day of the week.

Kids got massive heart, but his weakness is......he's too damn NICE!!!
Spiritual boy I believe. Would put him at odds with our desire to see opponents hospitalised.
