General Shaun Timmins?

Nobody is reading this thread right now.
My thoughts can be summed up in one word: HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!! :)

I can't see him coming here and personally I'd rather have a young guy like Sonny Fai or Lauaki in the 17 than an older player like him.

You sure do love your Castleford boys don't you Rob. :)

Short sighted signing but then so was Campion and look how well he did for us.

He'd give our pack some more direction but then we'd also be in danger of having a dads army pack. On the other side of the coin he'd offer our pop gun back row some much needed attacking ablility....something in my book glaringly obvious that we missed this season.

Yep, duely noted too.

Is this just a what if scenario or is there actually a chance of this happening? Would be a good signing if it did happen.

Just speculation/idea at the moment. It's not like there's any whispers of it in the papers. Just Robster throwing a thought around ;)

I think his best footy is behind him & what message would it send to the young guys trying to come thru !!!

Mmmm you've got a point.

Timmins has already said he won't play for another NRL club other than the Dragons. He also said he won't put his battered body through another season for less money. In my opinion no thanks.

He was, but the Castleford Tigers will be relegated at the end of this season, so his contract is null and void.

He is now considering his options. He won't be staying at the Dragons, and he may even retire.

As it stands, though, I think that at 30 years of age, he's too old for the Warriors.

don't see it happening really. bit to injury prone and also doesn't seem to be keen on playing in the nrl for another year. I think there are better options out there as well like offering awen a 1 year offer for example. timmins defintely wants to wind down so he may not give is all anyway even if he did sign for us.

Timmins = No we do not need him.

We have a lot of talented forwards in this country but very substandard halves.

Yep I reckon so to. Besides, I think the young guys should be given more of a chance instead of having to wait around. Give them the exposure they need.
