Apologies if Sam's player thread has been created and I've missed it....but as a Wigan fan I was delighted to win today but so sad to see the end of a legend.
He gets a bit of a bad wrap around here but I actually thought he was good for us when he could stay on the field.
Body wasn’t quite ready for the rigors of weekly nrl and injuries brought him unstuck but that Sj, pomkins, hurrell combo was lethal.

Unfortunately the price tag preceded him and was judged to be a flop for the money, but the narrative that stuck was he was a flop in general. Most that said that would have been causal fans or fans of Aussie teams that only watched 1-2 full Warriors games a season.
I think there are a fair few of us who could see what he was bringing to the table.
