Dont know about that, at one point they said the penalty count was 8-8 but 5 of the penalties we got were for foul play and the ref didnt call 3 of them.

Some harsh calls on us today. Not just the high profile bunker ones either. That’s just how it goes sometimes though.
The difficult thing to accept is how we gave them the opportunity to do that to us. Firstly, by not putting some more points on when we had the better of the game in the first half. After a good first 20-30 minutes, we got sloppy. Given the chances the Roosters gifted to us in the first 40, we should’ve been in a much better position. So to not be, and then to come out and start the second half giving up three penalties on the bounce? That’s disappointing. Pretty annoyed about that.
Some good goal-line defence again, but major issues going forward. Felt like the moment we hit our 40 metre line we would just spread it wide, flat-footedly, until we just about made it over halfway. At one point we made 33 metres on a seven tackle set. Wtf is that?
Shocking bench management as well, today. Bone-headed move to have the lineup we did on the bench, but to use it in the way we did was completely baffling. Still have no idea what position Otukolo was playing. Lock I guess? Whatever. Kodi terrible, Katoa wasted, Otukolo and Bunty non-factors.
Incredibly frustrating game, because we absolutely could’ve won despite having key players out, and that would’ve been a massive scalp for us. And we once again — as has been the story this whole season, and for Brown’s entire reign — we have lost. The talent and application is clearly there. I don’t think there is a game this season where we’ve been truly outplayed. And yet, we are sitting here, 3-3, with the only comprehensive victory coming against a completely abject Broncos side.
How long will this go on, with the same old issues persisting?
Positive shout outs for Kosi (huge improvement), Chanel Harris-Tavita (another gutsy performance), Addin Fonua-Blake (consistently great for us), Aitken (tireless), and Walsh (one of few players who dares to excite). And props to Curran for doing his best to play on.

That game showed we have improved over the last few weeks. The first half especially.
The start of the second half shows we are still working to be a full 80 minute side.
We were in it. Defended well and made them work for their points. Overall it was a few mistakes, 50/50 calls and some bad calls going against us.
To beat the top sides we still need a fair bit to go our way.

The start to second half was horrible. It needs to be drummed into Walsh that he cant at any cost afford to kick the ball out on the full. If he cannot do that, he cannot kick off. That was a big catalyst for what ensued in the second half.

Not sure if that was the dumbest or smartest thing I've ever seen in one of those press conferences - it's basically over, and Brown stays to say one more thing unprompted : that Radley should not be suspended for the arm to Kosi's face ... refused to say anything about all the shit calls we copped but goes out of his way to defend the opposition doing what they had to do in the course of the game... i really hope that kind of demonstrated good will swings a few things our way next time

Basically bunker wouldnt be allowed to spectate on the game at all, only involved when calls are sent up.....and calls would have to be "please check if ball carrier has grounded the ball"...no names.
Would be fascinating to see the results tbh.

Disappointed that Brown didnt even say anything about the reffing in the press conference. The journos we’re digging for him to ssy something but he kept defecting. The only thing he did mention was that he hoped Radley didn’t get suspended for the tackle on Kosi.

Thanks. Just need a bit of funding from the NRL and I would say we could achieve this within a year if the desire to remove bias is there.

Then Pompey may or may not have hit the ball with his foot but there is no way he is looking at the ball!!!!

As much as it was frustrating with the lack of pace with our old back 3 of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Maumalo and Fusitua. They were safe under the high ball.

Dumb by Browny not to call it out. Honor will get us no where, SK already proved that. At the very least he should have said something sly like he owes Payten an apology. Actually another red mark against Brown. I hope the ownership are looking into a PR person to start working the narrative we're hard done by refs. Warriors absolutely could have not earned more good will with this pandemic, and we still get dudded.
