It's a bit weird having Greg Alexander as a Warriors sympathizer after all the water that has gone under the bridge.
I welcome it.
He is an astute critic if he takes his hate tinted glasses off, he will make some observations that many of us know already (the difference is with us we see hundreds of hours of these players, Alexander is watching in bit parts live).
He rates
Montoya and
Jazz as hard men and I am so pleased for
Montoya that some in the Aussie media are noticing him now, took a couple of years of hard work to get rid of his poor Rep from his pre Warriors life line.
If you watch
Montoya he has the Gordon Tallis eyes, and he is always focussing on what is happening on field, his intensity is nutter level, just what our young and easily distracted or inattentive backs need.
A huge problem for Warriors local backs is the confidence player thing. Having
Montoya around them is just the ticket, they can learn how to get back up like he does after
Montoya stuffs up and go again at a hundred miles an hour like it never happened.
I cannot wait for the other nutter winger
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to come back, the twins are part of what makes our side have the missing fiery element to the backs.
Rare for a Warriors side to have these Michael Hancock type guys in the back line, we always rely on the fire coming from the forwards.
Which is why the Francis Meli era was so special / not easily repeated, we scout backs that are athletic when what we should be looking for is aggression.
