Already says that Wayde is out but no news about Barnett as of now.
Is it confirmed he is out as I think he was just alluding to the fact that yes he has concussion, but I am assuming he still has to go through some testing to assess the grade of it. Can anyone confirm?

Just on that shot, and I appreciate there is no way of really making a judgement on the severity of a concussion by just watching on the box, but my impression was that yes it was a big impact but didnt seem like a terrible concussion i.e. Didnt seem out before he hit the ground, dazed but wasnt 'lights out' when on the ground etc. Obviously player welfare is the #1 priority but I wouldnt be surprised if he pulled through ok (although to caveat that too he did seem to pick up multiple knocks).

Also with Barnett, stingers feel horrible (apparently) but often subside quickly, so am keeping my fingers crossed there too.

Anyone know the Dally M points for the game?

Who would we give it to in such a well rounded performance? Where’s the rate the players tajhay?

Hard choice but my picks in no particular order:

Montoya ‘the steam roller’ - 229m, 3 line breaks; tries 💪
Tohu Harris - 124m; 41 tackles
Egan - 42 tackles; a try and into everything
Shaun Johnson - best game in years
Walker - 157m; 27 tackles and made things happen
Te Maire Martin - 2 try assists and 3 line break assists
Pompey - setting up THAT try and outplaying Holmes.

I could go on but I give up… to many options!
Tough one but I’d go-
Harris- he was the inspiration behind it all.
Shaun Johnson.
Barnett- such a shame he got injured because he was having a whale of a game.

Vailea filled the Williame spot seamlessly and was really solid.
Does he hold the spot.
Interesting problem.

Williams and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad are safe, reliable, defensive players but offer less on attack.

Vailea and Taupiki offer x-factor and I felt we were more well rounded both sides of the ball.

Great problem for Webby to have but to be honest I like the better all round game and scoring twice the opposition rather than trying to get a couple of tries and hold the opposition to less.

watching both newcastle and now the cowboys game we have def flipped the script. by that i mean if you watch the opposition they play exactly like we used. They score a couple of flukey tries, throw everything they have the defense and just can't score. that used to be us...... not any more

i just want to say i feel like pretty much every coach since cleary has come here tried to implement their own system or some sort of storm clone(Nathan brown clearly didnt try and implement anything.) Webby seems a little different whereas he mentioned in that roo and hammer podcast about he looked at what winning football was. I also think while he did that he looked at all the strengths and weaknesses of each player and chosen to create a system that where every single player on the park is in a position to succeed. Yesterdays game was proof of it

Hmm its a hard one.......anyone of (particulary that first five) are worthy.

For mine that Walker/Jazz one two punch off the bench would get my top points.

Felt they just re-energized that middle in a period of the game where we looked like we were just starting to fade and normally do fade. . Smaller bodies but the faster leg speed they bought in the middle third with ball in hand and on defence made all the difference i felt.

Like i said in the match thread i think that combo off the bench could really develop into a game changer for us.

Fuck, I’m still glowing after that WIN

It’s gonna be a great week 😊

What is this feeling?…. Happiness?? 😂
Happiness is an ephemeral fleeting feeling, what we're feeling is deeper: Vindicated... Satisfied... Avenged...

Was anyone else nervous and not counting chickens/banking the win until the final whistle went?

Some observations

1) The ref started off on the cowboys side with a dubious early penalty against leading to their first try. However, As I have always said you make your own luck with the referee and in the second half we got the run of the green with an off side penalty against cows after siro spilled it.

2) With zero seconds on the clock in the first half Taine did a speculator pass that could have lost us the game and instead the ever reliable Montoya cleaned us up and got us into half time with our lead intact. Next time Taine just take the tackle and get to half time.

3) We are learning how to win and close out games as we have won so few in recent years. Throwing the pill around with two minutes left with ill advised then we knocked it on. Just ride out the 14 point win professionally.

Some Well deserved praise
1) We are the most improved team in the comp
2) We are in the conversation for the top 4 defensive teams in the comp.
3) Our spine looks credible. You need two strong spine players and we have Shaun Johnson and Egan,
4) Our halves actually gelled this game after looking completely disjointed at times in the first few games and Te Maire Martin put up a bomb at one point.

I havn't actually digested that we won. My eyes saw it but my soul doesn't believe it yet as so used to losing !!!

I always feel sick with a lead and 15 minutes to go, just want to turn it off and see what the score is at full time. But realistically we had made them do more tackling and work it off their own line more in tough conditions, team just had to keep their heads and were never going to give up the 3 scores needed.
