As a fan base we shouldn’t tolerate any Walsh slander here.

19 years old. Thrown into first grade after only playing a handful of games the past year.

Dealing with a hell of a lot of fanfare from media and fans.

Big game against the club he left because they wouldn’t give him a chance - in front of a hostile Suncorp crowd.

Top 8 “hopes” on thin ice.

He didn’t loose us the game - allowing the Broncos to score 24pts while owning the middle did.

But as someone in the game day thread said - he could’ve won us the game with his kicking.

But despite all the misses, the shit the fans would’ve been throwing his way and the weight of the team on his shoulders…

He still had the balls to take the 2pt FG at the end.

Remember folks - not only did we sign him at all, but we got him a year early, in a year lost due to injuries, a new coach, another season away from home, etc. etc…

We got to have him debut this year, while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (a idol of his) was still here, to show him the ropes, etc. etc…

The experience of this game, and this season in general, will be so valuable for his growth heading into next season…

With a (hopefully) healthy squad. With Shaun Johnson back. With continuity in terms of Brown at the helm…

While it was nice to hope for finals footy this year, it was still highly unlikely and if we did squeeze in, we would’ve only played 1 extra game in all honesty.

It’s about building for next season and beyond, and games like this will make Walsh and the team stronger for then.

Walsh is our future, and if we give up on him after 1 game, then we really deserve all the misfortunes we’ve endured.

Proud of the boys - there was no lack of effort there! From a mostly young pack that have really just started to cement their positions together - they really have something special! There is heart in this team! There is a lot to take into the final two games and hell of a lot to take into next season! Poor Walsh! This game got into his head - I hope the boys rally around him and get his head up! Every game he takes the learnings - it’ll come itll come! Shout out to Hiku! He had a blinder! Some unlucky calls and some lucky bounces for the broncos. There was no lack of effort there! Proud of the Warriors! Let’s have an amazing final two games and hell yeah am I excited for next year!!! As stressful as it can be on the heart sometimes - I honestly wouldn’t go for any other team! The Warriors inspire so much passion and pride! GO THE WARRIORS!!!

and ps anyone saying foul things about Walsh - he doesn’t deserve that! He’s an extraordinary player and is learning every game! You’ll eat your words as he grows in age and experience! 😘😘😘

So over all how do you think the Referee was today 0ne eyed I think you know was well as I do the Warriors were never going to this game the NRL Don't Treat All CLUBS the same and the Referee has the Last Same and He NOT ACCOUNTABLE and if you don't like it Challenge it....
ONE BIG COP OUT Warriors seasons over
Thought the Pompey try was a try
We were lucky to get away when Chanel Harris-Tavita lost it in goal (technicality with the whistle)
Probably got a bit lucky with the Aitken try at the end.
Goal kicking was the difference in the end- not the ref

Totally agree.. Did the 15 min walk outside to calm down.. Its actually worse that we had the chance to win it.. I think ultimately it will be really valuable for walshy to go through this.. If he is the player and person we hope he is this will light a fire inside him.. Fucking hurts right now but plenty of positives

Gutted with the loss but the effort was there. Am happy that we are playing right to the final whistle. And to give credit to the Broncos they probably should have beaten the Roosters last week. Like us they are improving as the season comes to a close.

Channel 9 commentary is fucking dreadful. Thank Christ we don’t get subjected to that every weekend. Thanks Sky for fucking that up for us.

Used to think 9 was the best from what we get over here, but today was dreadful. They clearly only bring the A show out for origin.

Does SkyNZ not have the studio anymore?

the two plays where we lost it in my view were the Reece Walsh not finding touch from penalty and Dallins play of the ball error

those guys didn’t make similar lame plays

I thought sironen added little value and that we had played better in previous weeks without him

Boys turned up. Got unlucky with a few calls but lucky with others. They’ve definitely earned a lot of respect this year. Next year looks good

here’s hoping the guys can get home and spend some time with family before another season away

The sky crew returned last week, they were absent for a few weeks due to the Olympics.

Maybe they didn’t do pre/post game coverage today due to Covid?

How dare you use such common sense mate?

It's all that bloody 19yo rookies fault.

One thing i've noticed last few games is his willingness to throw his body at the line and take the tough carry a bit more. A full pre-season and a bit more weight/muscle will do him the world of good next year.
