How important will the 1 point the Sharks got for the only draw so far this season be? With teams 4 - 13 seperated by only 6 points and not many games left to play, I think it may be that 1 point that keeps the Sharks finals hopes alive.
If you hadn't seen the results all year you would assume the Eels were in the 8. So many top 8 sides are not playing like they are top 8 sides and likewise, the bottom teams are starting to cause some headaches with only pride to play for. Not getting the wooden spoon is huge motivation it seems and I wonder where those sides in contention for it (including us) would/could have been had they played with a higher level of intensity and commitment that we are starting to see now.
Predictions:
Cocks - Dragons Dragons 1-12 Good win by Dragons last week.Cocks can't buy a win, though they are trying for next year.
Storm - Panthers Storm 13+ Storm will be better now Billy has had a run. Too good at home for Panthers.
Knights - Dogs Dogs 1-12 Dogs will lose a game or 2 before end of season but not this week.
Cowboys - Manly Cowboys 1-12 Only because they are at home. Possibility Manly might ambush them though
Warriors - Sharks Wariors 1-12 Us at home and time to put away a win. Sharks good forwards, lacking attack.
Raiders -Broncos Raiders 1-12 Raiders play good, bad, good, bad so....Broncos really struggling. Close either way.
Titans - Bunnies Titans 1-12 First real test for Bunnies for long time. I don't think they will be up to it.
Tigers - Eels Eels 1-12 Tigers must be due for a win but they are playing really bad with a lot of injuries.
Which leaves table looking like this. Dogs 34, Storm 30, Bunnies 30, Cowboys 28, Broncos 26, Manly 26, Sharks 25, Titans 24 then Dragons 24, Us, Knights,Tigers and Raiders on 22
I think that top 8 will be the teams at the end of the year in the finals, not neccessarily in that order.
