i cant think of one good performance in this one. hurrell makes mistakes but hes the only guy who looks dangerous. i cant pick him today though with the great runs then drops on the end.

Had to go with Matagi, he was the only forward not getting owned today. Again we seemed to lift when Peyroux came on although he didn't get a chance to do much himself.

Manu had a tough day but the Wolfman is class so it's almost understandable to some degree. Nobody was outright awful but the whole team were plain average and Manly are way above average as a whole.

All the feelgood hype after beating the Storm was certainly premature. The team is putting up a fight, honourable losses count for nothing.

Johnson is the best player in the game...his bag of tricks is un-rivalled in any code

His top 3 go to plays

1. Crab across field and drop it off inside to a blockbusting Lowrie or Mannering, When he has a overlap outside

2. Put a grubber in early in the count 1st or 2nd...so good it fools everyone cause no knows its coming bar Johnson, Brilliant.

3. Big make a wish bombs 20x a game that never amounts to anything

Preliminary stats have none of our forwards making over 100m - in fact the closet is Mateo with 88m. Meanwhile 5 Manly forwards made over 100m.

andrew fukn johns really screwed johnson. talked him up as the next big thing, mentored him and turned him into an average halfback

ok my thoughts on the days play.
Swap Hurrell and Laumape, Hurrell doesn't run angles or pass often, sounds like a winger. We've seen Laumape at centre, seems to do well good hands, good pass etc.
Shaun Johnson needs intensity training to learn how not to panic
Matalino - didn't think I would say this but without Packer you look lost
Mateo - is this a game plan thing, I'm not seeing him even make an attempt at an offload atm.
Manu just got dominated
Neilson defensively he's been off his best for 2 games now and his not passing to Manu is getting old fast
Rapira, Lillyman, Matagi all started well but only Lillyman kept up the intensity in the first half. In the second half I don't remember seeing them out there at all.
Taylor zero impact but at least he's not making lots of errors
Lowrie is making lots of errors, but these were predictable. Not like most think, in that he is useless, but in that he is a defender and in a side that is playing panic ball he doesn't fit in.
Mannering - my MOM
TL - so need you to settle Shaun Johnson down and stop him playing panic ball. Also both Shaun Johnson and TL need to find a 5th play kick that actually works.
Friend - was himself, couple of good scoots, and a lot of good D, but not able to stand up and pull the team along with him

Is this just a case of us looking good against SOE depleted sides? or have the warriors still not got a Killer mind-set yet?

The grubber was a shocker. But I don't understand how our forwards play so crap and people want to blame Johnson. I thought he was a mixed bag today and looked dangerous at times. You can have the best half in the comp (jt) but if you don't have a platform you are going to struggle. Matulino, Rapira and Lilyman all need to have a good hard look at themselves they are better than that.

Forwards rolled again. We have too many of the same type of player, both in the front and second row. I've been blabbing on about this all season and nothing has changed.
We can dominate, but to do so we need our pack to perform to its top potential - if they are even 80% we get rolled by bigger, more physical, more aggressive sides. Hurrell is our best prop.
Lowrie + Taylor are two names which should not appear on the team list together. I think Ikahihifo is a bit of a clown, but I'd definitely be playing him ahead of Taylor. Or even debut one of our heralded young props. Taylor isn't offering anything we can't get from Lowrie, and he's leaving at the end of the season - why persist with him? Particularly when our other second rower (Peyroux) is only effective when playing as a fucking centre. I like him, but in the forwards he's just another small guy with mediocre skills.[DOUBLEPOST=1376201697][/DOUBLEPOST]
Im over Lowrie and Friend defending around the ruck together. there giving up too many metres

Taylor is a fuckload worse in this regard than Lowrie. Though they both lack a bit of presence.
