He's got the rugby tackling style which is making him useful in 1v1's just needs to bulk up a bit and grow into his height. Yeah it'll make or break players, I hope for Kosi's sake it hasn't fucked his career before its even started.
Ed's shown some good signs, just needs to learn to read the game, I wouldn't send the kid back to the Warehouse after 4 games when he should be learning his trade in reserve grade.

actually happy kodi is back for once, could only imagine the halves we would have thrown out there.

happy with the backs selection
Question for anyone that may know. Since kodi took up his player option for next year, is the ball now in the warriors court as to weather they will grant him a release next year?
If so hopefully management have had a talk to him that we're happy to release you early but you better put your heart into it this year and it will do good for your potential next contract. Pisses me off seeing a non interested kodi on the field when I've seen what he's capable of.
Him and Chad would've been a decent combo, hopefully we still get to see it.

Yes, assuming there are no other special terms and conditions around the extension, if he wants a release the club needs to agree. If he flat out refuses to go to NZ he can be forced to sit out the year and sued, although practically that doesn’t happen.

Are you like me and that is when you feel like its an ok to duck off to the fridge or bathroom cause its likely nothing exciting is going to happen.
hahahaha not so much. but this sums up my reaction every time a play dies with him or he thinks he is reece walsh and can take the line on and bamboozle defenders

Just curious, Pompey seems to break almost every 1st tackle. Is his tackle break stats up there? I think he has potential, behind Aitkin and Berry for mine but not a terrible call up.
Not terrible, just has no speed when he breaks the line, you want that in an elite centre. Looks like he could lose a few kg's, then again fatty Latrell makes them all look fools so who knows.

I don't see him as having a high ceiling and he doesn't have enough x factor for the backline. He's one of those players that you can put in and will do their job but won't be a game breaker
See not alot of people in this forum get this, but most players in the nrl are what you just discribed. Very few are game breakers.

Pompey is a decent centre atm, and has room to grow imo. I was thinking he would be quite a good player when he was stringing together good performances earier in the season but from what ive seen of him lately he seems to have regressed and may be closer to his ceiling as opposed to his floor. My main gripe with him is his ability to impersonate a poor mans solomone kata, black holes that suck balls in and never let them out via passing.

The thing is pompey has the ability to pass really well, his tip on to kosi was further evidence of it but almost every time he touches the ball he tucks it under his arm and throws out a fend or goes in for a hit up.

Good to see the Warriors return to the preseason plan of pounding sides to death.

They have a very small back row this week, So I think they have done the right thing in putting the Panzer division on the bench.

By the time Addin Fonua-Blake and Lodge have finished thumping the Sharks at the outset, those bigger boys we have courtesy of using three props will have impact.

Bout time we went out there to intimidate.

Picking Ben Murdoch-Masila will have a much bigger contribution due to that configuration.

I imagine in the sheds before kick off, that our gang of up front thugs will be puffing out their chests and lifting their shoulders knowing that is the biggest Warriors bench since the Anderson era and definitely the fittest biggest up front combo this club has ever seen.

Love it Brown, stick with it mate, smash some dudes over.

Biggest news is the possible return of Walsh and Kodi obviously, that could save our arses. Hope Sean O'Sullivan has a blinder with his very limited tool box.

Clearly, if we want to win, we have to keep possession so that the big dude factory gets fed and the sharks have to take it.

Berry vs Montoya, both playing for a spot in the Centre‘s next week beside Aitken. Looks like Pompey has slipped down in the pecking order.

I get what you mean by these two playing for a spot, because this is true of every game, however I cannot see how Berry is ahead of Montoya based on Montoyas form this season.

And I really really like Berry and think he is the heir apparent, just not now at the expense of Montoya.

Shame they had to split the two ex Bulldogs edge. They are tight.

However it is the right decision, to play Berry next to a specialist defensive Winger...rather than next to Roger.

Hope Egan stays fit, he will roll the thunder down town, shock and awe.

Hope Kodi and Sean O'Sullivan snag a few repeat sets in the in goal to really kill these guys with punch.

Hoping for a lot I know.

But that is the way of the Warrior.

Great interview, some good insight into the club imo.
Sheck Montoya Dallin Watene-Zelezniak Addin Fonua-Blake all didn't train Monday
Chad and Tohu Harris responding well to treatment maybe back quicker than 4 weeks
Other talking points from the interview:

Hodges is a good motivator, could sell sand in the desert.

Our big advantage is losing and thereby learning lessons other sides aren't learning due to losing.

Lodge has identified our problem, we keep losing in the last 5 minutes, make him captain.

Half the team didn't train but the 9 day turnaround should help.

We haven't given up, being 12th is exciting for the team.

All part of the plan to emulate Canberra's premiership window.

Good patter Craig, pull the other one.

Why do we not get injury reports anymore? The club hasn't connected with the fans over this info for a long time now.

Surely they have a diagnosis on Chad's shoulder. I'd like to know whether the damage on Tohu Harris extends much beyond the head knock. Brown seemed to allude to some injuries being quite serious in the presser.

For me our season hinges on Townsend lacing up in the halves. I'm not a huge fan, but he gives us what we need to compete properly.

Warriors

The Warriors will be without Tohu Harris Harris and new recruit Chad Townsend for at least a month each after both picked up AC joint shoulder injuries.
