I can’t recall this much anticipation of a rookie making his Warriors debut. Rookie has in has only played a handful of first grade games.

I hope Metcalf has a good game. Going to be some sad/disappointed people on this forum if he does not. He is a rookie so for me if he gets through the game without too many errors and shows promise I will be happy.

a pretty darn experienced Rookie however

I think in between injuries he has shown more than enough promise, so not so concerned about that. My worry is if the nerves get to him, but it wont be his last game, been some shockers over the years in this sport. But he should be able to draw on his experience to get through that. but I think its important not to be too critical.

Definitely X factor that we need, live he is just fun to watch, whether its a long range try through the line and burning the FB, or his ability lay line breaks and try assists on for others. He reminds me a bit of a younger Shaun.

But the nerves could cause some errors, but more likely it will be familiarity with the calls and other players which will create some. However I think Webby will ask them to keep it simple.

There is only one thing that will upset me and its not his play.

Depends on how the game plays out.

Our forward pack have zero excuses so if they don't dominate it's hard to expect much from the halves.

However if they do dominate and Metcalf doesn't play or atleast look solid well then yeah, that would be a bit disappointing.

Spot on mate. I'd be a little dissapointed, but I dont think anybody will feel embarrassed.

Ppl were all over Walsh and he definitely was dissapointing at times.

Hopes are high but I dont think expectations are.

My biggest hope is he just has a solid, simple game and doesnt try too hard first game If he runs a simple run, draw, pass game. Then I'd be stoked given we only a few days out, there needs to be some reality to how much he can soak up. If he gaps it for open field play or even some big kicks, then even better

gutted about Egan and walker!! At least the broncos are under strength.

By the look of the bench it seems we are going to try to overwhelm them through the middle. I am surprised by how good a team the Broncos can still put together. Their backs are strong and definitely have points in them.

Hopefully we go down main street with Metcalf on the hip of our forwards
