Even better than dat step, is that he's using defenders' expectations of it to get them wrong-footed. Loved how Morris was waiting for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to step off his left, and he was like "Sorry bro, what step?". That hints at intelligent use of his skill.

If Roger Tuivasa-Sheck doesnt get it it will be the last time I ever show any interest in the Dally M Awards. Its already a bullshit popularity contest...
Tedesco has been superb since mid season despite playing in a dreadful side. However Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has surely only been behind Thurston and possibly Ayshford as best player in the comp this year.

I'd like to know what the plan is for the development of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck as a player. The Roosters invest heavily in individual player growth. They got Mini in, for instance, to work one-on-one with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and school him on the intricacies of fullback play. As a result, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck regularly credits Minichello as being the primary influence behind the remarkable season he's had. Now Robinson has snared Joey Johns to work with the young Roosters halves. It's very astute coaching: Robinson identifies an area where extra attention is required, and gets in the best available mentors to help develop and refine that talent.
Are the Warriors planning on just letting Roger Tuivasa-Sheck take of himself once he gets to Auckland? I'm sure he's totally capable of it, but mentally, it would be a big letdown for him from the undivided attention he got behind the scenes in Sydney. No wonder he's publicly anxious about the impending move.
And to his credit, he's been honest about his motivations behind coming to Auckland ever since signing. He cites money as being the motivating factor behind his decision: he wants to provide for his extended family, who, ironically, will be remaining in Sydney.
Not once have I heard Roger Tuivasa-Sheck say that he's excited about the prospect of playing with Shaun Johnson, or reconnecting with his Kiwi roots, or even to help lead this team from the pits of despair to its maiden premiership. It's an inauspicious start to his relationship with the Warriors. Understandably so.

You raise a good point about mentoring for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. We need to ensure we set up the best environment possible for him to carry on his current form. Now can he get that from the current coaching staff or do we need to bring in a specialist?

I wouldn't put much into Roger Tuivasa-Sheck being sad about leaving the Roosters. The majority of players are like that when they leave their previous club. Didn't Mateo vow to return to the Eels? That didn't eventuate.

When he arrives for pre-season training and we get the first interview of him on the Warriors website we'll hear a different outlook. Most likely one where he is excited for his new chapter in his career and to be playing with specific players.

Doyle has signed him as a senior player. With Luke and Shaun Johnson in front of him that will be three people for the defence to need watch instead of only one this year. The Roosters didn't have that much talent in front of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck although their centres were better.

I'd be interested in finding a mentor for him, would actually be good to have guys who can come in from a outside point of view (not a main coach) and evaluate how a player is going etc. Especially for fullback, and halves when only a someone who has played the position at the highest level can really see things the same as the player.
