I think even the most loyal fan would admit that our season is over SO taking that into acount, what changes would you guys make if any. I would get rid of todd byrne its not funny anymore a lock chasing him down???
I would get rid of toopi hes misatkes lost us at least 5 games last year, & i'll be damned if it happens again(first half bulldogs game today).

Now the halves are tricky cause we don't really have a replacement but fien has no direction NONE. So the least we can do is have a decent 5/8 which i think rovelli is already doing. At least by giving him 5/8 our ONLY decent attacking option is out there longer than 30-40 mintues.

Now if cleary is anything like kemp toopi will stay all year which we could probally get away with but my other changes byrne gone & rovelli at 5/8 have be done.

Agree with your list SEB

I think Misi looks the goods so when manu comes back Byrne will probably go in to the centres for toopi or just straight out dropped. mannering looked good so theres another option as well.

Guttenbiel can go as well. He offering nothing and im starting to think Gatis is just cruising and could go as well

Toopi's just trying too hard because he's never given any space to work in from the guys inside him...he's hard on the sideline by the time the ball (slowly) gets to him....the guy would be a superstar at another club.

What's with gatis ey, one SUPER DUPER GAME & then complete shite.
The BIGGGGGG mistake today was not putting a prop into a prop position, WHAT was cleary THINKING, evarn into wiki's spot, AGAINST THE BULDOGS.We needed the biggest damn player we had, someone like Sam rapira, villisanti & the best of all george tukara.

Do we have any good 9's or halves in our develompent squad cause nows the the time for experimentation so by the end of the year we would have got it right for next year. None of our halves have deserved their spots except rovelli whos on the bench, so let someone else have a go.

Im still singing Hohia is the man to give this team direction. Fein in 9 Hohia 7 and Rovelli 6. Jerome to the bench

Villa should have played prop today, he loves the confrintational stuff like mason etc

I like it jerome as a replacement dummy half, good one. Gatis hasn't proved himself & he's had a bloddy good chance too.

Yes Toopi is a try hard who needs to be shown the door. When he tried to get that stupid goddamned pass away in front of our tey line was inexcusable. Hes not some rookie anymore and should know better. As soon as I saw wiki walking in the crowd when the boys were warming up I thought hey we can still win. But we beat ourselves today

We'll keep the bagging machine going....in 2004 it was 'prmia donna players'...last year Meli , Betham , Te Mata , Mick Watson...now it's Toopi.

I'll join in...Faumiaina...looking & playing like a high school girl netballer.....Anderson - todays effort: bad hands, weak D, & a dumb shot that could cost him Kiwi selection....Luck - real good, almost up to first grade standard.....

Almost? He was the most hard working player out on the paddock.

What did high school netballers ever do to piss you off?

Luck hard working but he looks like he's running in quicksand; a lot of effort for not many metres...not enough fast twitch muscle fibres.

No offense but any highschool netballer would kick butt against Sione with the sort of effort he was doing today

Sione was my man of the match. He was busting his arse on defence, he wanted to win as much or more than any other player on the field.

Have faith I don't think we are that far away from putting in a few great proformances.
The best desicion for the long term at the moment is not getting rookies in put to find away to win, the ease rookies into it.
Next week Mannering, Tuamavae, Manu, Talapapa, Jerome Rovelli and Anderson all have to be there. That is nearly half a team that isn't all that experienced, I don't see how less experience can be beneficail.

We got the bye next week Jon then i think the Tigers. But i think some building for next season needs to happen NOW

I agree with things going like this & players playing like clowns we've got NOTHING to lose. At least the young are enthuisastic.
Is our team really as bad as they looked today??

Byrne will probably be 'rested' when Vatuvei is fit.
I still like the idea of Fien at hooker and Hohaia at halfback (when/if fit) - might as well try it if even for a few games!

I'd keep Toopi in the team. He mixes the sublime with the moronic in some games, but remains one of our best options at centre. Apart from that totally pointless no-look pass at the end of the first half, he went reasonably well I thought.

We really need some pace out of dummy half too. Gatis just seems indecisive at times - he needs to back himself more and make some darts. Fien would be much more of a livewire in the 9 jersey and cause the opposition defence problems.

I doubt Cleary will make too many changes in the next few weeks, but you never know.

Jeez i hope clearys not like kemp and doesn't have the balls to make big changes. I think thats the difference between a good coach & a bad one.

Toopi got a call from Webb, who was on his shoulder, but then Webb dropped off and Toopi had thrown it anyway. Toopi is a finisher; he ain't got any attack to finish at the moment, so he's trying to create something out of nothing. Let's see how he goes for the Kiwi's.
