Player got suspended for 12months for pushing ref and 12 months further good behavior! Ref only got a warning. In my mind ref should have got 6 months and player got 2 months with a 12 month god behavior

Yeah Over all if it got outta hand and the Reff got beat up you would look at that touching the players as being a bit stupid

Yeah, I saw the comments on You Tube. He has done it before. The hit may have been minor, but it didn't look like it was to get his attention to me. I'm not really sure what he was doing. I thought the player who suffered the ban did the right thing by advancing on the ref when he did. It needed to be pulled up immediately as it was, but his shove of the ref when he walked him was perhaps a little foolish. A player should never touch a ref, but it should be the same both ways, and the fact they have ignored this behaviour from the ref in the past shows their needs to be more accountability.

watching that it looks like the ref takes exception to the player pushing the opponents off the tackled player and gives him a 'cut that out' clip

anyone know what the rules are regarding handling tacklers?

This is U18's Sarina v's Moranbah in Sarina.. Ref hits kid across the back of the head for no reason and when questioned by a player he gets up in his personal space and tells him to have a go! This ref has been banned for life previously for hitting but apparently apologised and Mackay Rugby league let him off. This has been to Judiciary and the ref got off as Mackay Rugby League do not believe the ref hit the player... Seriously.. it's as plain as day! The player who questioned and pushed ref has been suspended from playing for 12mnths and also on good behaviour for 12months next year. Last weekend Moranbah had a home game against Wests and that ref was a touchy and the suspended player was running the water and the ref has put in another complaint against the player which goes to judiciary again next week. This complaint is completely fabricated the ref just plain and simple has it in for him.. We need to get this out there for people to see and action to be taken for the ref to be reprimanded for his actions and so this player is cleared to play next year!!
