3. Locke - cleaned up at the back and although lucky - made the play that saved the try...
2. Johnson - close second... had his best game for a LONG time. 3rd 40/20 of the year, solid kicking game, try, and try assist...
1. Friend gets the last mention. Because with him back, it means no more Taylor at hooker...

Honorable mentions: Laumape - that kick into the in-goal set up the Johnson try. Matulino/Lillyman/Rapira - all played well up front.

I can't remember the words that describe how I'm feeling! *googles antonyms for shame, despair, pity and depression*. My god... I feel proud of the Warriors!

3 Shaun Johnson - alot more direct and outplayed Thurston, better goalkicking and another 40/20
2 Ben Matulino - quiet game last week, but back to his best, thought he had the better of Scott & Tamou
1 Ngani Laumape - man has this kid stepped up

Tupou gained excellent meters on attack but he was horrendous on defense, lord knows how he didnt have 8 tries scored on his wing, luck was on the Warriors side tonight

Great to see Friend back, Hopefully Locke,Nielson etc pull up alright

Topou = 18 runs for 173m but his defence undoes all the hard work he did on attack. Friend added more to the team than I thought he could. Lowrie seems to be a poor mans Luck with Malony's penchant for giving away penalties. Neilson would be a big loss for us if he can't play next week. Fish for Locke you would think and Taylor at centre maybe? Might be too early for Ropo and his defence combined with Topou is a scary thought.

No, Michael Luck was on the Cowboys side tonight. He was on the sideline during the U20s game.

That was fantastic, if a little nerve wracking. Great to get a win!

Agreed Laumape has been a bit of a revelation long may it continue.

The difference N friend made at dummy half was huge. Friendy was the catalyst for the win along with cowboys errors.
Mannering must not pass the ball. Friendy and the forwards paved the way for Shaun Johnson and TL and both those guys looked better with the packs better effort.
Taylor looked must better as a defensive forward.
Great way to finish the long weekend.

3 - Locke - maybe its the mancrush speaking but you can't go past that try-saving tackle, and he was good all round tonight. He will be back next week, he's too tough not to.
2 - Johnson - have to put the Johnson hate aside for a minute here. He was one I pointed the finger at for the poor attitude but tonight he showed the total opposite.
1 - Laumape - runs hard, gets involved and isn't over-whelmed. Great effort

I would still like to see Mateo and Mannering dropped, but I guess there are going to be a few missing next week, so they may have to play.

I would rather see Friend playing a few less minutes to allow some more time for Pita to wield his magic. Otherwise we need Leuluai to go down with an injury.

Totally, the distribution from the ruck is so much crisper from friendy the props only have to run on to the ball rather than reach out to grab it. In saying that taylor played pretty well in a position he should have been in from day dot?

The team Elliott picked to run on was spot on. Benny played much better and I thought Mateo had a good dig too.
Who do we put at 1 next week if Locke is out and who goes to centre if Neilson/Henry and maybe Hurrell are out?
