I just tuned in to catch a replay of NRL Primetime and heard McIvor giving Tony Veitch a serve. Missed the start, what was it all about?

Yeah, I was wondering that too. From what I could pick up, apparently Tony Veitch was taking the p*ss out of Jason Costigan (imitating him etc) on his Radio show, so McIvor decided to stick up for his mate.

Did anyone hear exactly what Veitch did??

Mcivor started the show having a go at dat tony vietch guy cos mcivor said he ACCIDENTALY tuned into radio sport and heard tony vietch going on about how costo was a disgrace and stuff!!!! So for that i think veitch is a loser. Big ups to mcivor for standing up for his mate!!!!!!!!!

Costo is a disgrace when he's paired with the other Sky clowns.

When he was covering the games in Austalia post-test match i thought he was more than acceptable.

Is there potential he's playing up for his 'mates' on Sky?

Haha, that's quite funny. Costo can be a bit stupid at times with his comments and he does try a bit hard but I like him better than the goons over here that's for sure.

I was listening to Vietch this morning and he said all he was doing was saying Costigan was a crap commentator and that was just his opinion.

We all agree that5 Costigans crap but McIvor aint no better.

Then Lonergan was on the show with Vietch and a caller suggested that Veitch fight McIvor in fight for life and Lonergan said hes tried for 2 yearsbut Vietch wont do it.

McIvor is pretty crap on the commentry team but on Primetime hes good, however hes got massive guts and no one can beat that

Peter Ropati is sh!t, Costigan is not much better but there's hope for MacGuyver.

Veitch is a TVOne sports anchor and quite frankly, its amazing how much shit they give rugby league.

He wasn't giving rugby league slop. He was saying he didn't think Costigan was a good commentator. I personally disagree, but I think I'm in the minority here. I certainly don't think Ropati is an asset in the commentary room.

I think it probably would have been more productive for McIvor and company to listen to Veitch's comments, rather than rubbis the man himself. The number of threads I've seen started on this forum calling for different Sky commentators should be evident enough that people in general don't think much of that commentary team.

Personally im not a big fan. I find costo annoying as heck, to be honest a hell of alot of the time he seems to love the warriors and the kiwis failing (much like that turn coat freeman)

I dont mind mcivor but ropati and his "football sides" pee me off

Costo deserves what came to him...I'm surprised McIvor is standing up for anyone, he can't even last 1 minute in a boxing ring after 2 fights.

Tony Vietch deserved that and more. He had the nouse to criticize Ray Warren saying he was "past it". He also got backup from Ian Smith who as we know is an expert in League.

If he criticised Ray Warren, Sterlo and others for the SOO commentary, and Costogan, then what does he think is an acceptable commentary team? God screaming from the sky as the clouds part "And Wiki runs it to the line"

We used to love taking the p!ss out of him at school, but truth be told, he was an awesome commentator. He even made Lowey sound good.
