Didn't watch the game! and I could read the preceding 16 pages, however in a nutshell how did we look? Rate the Tits and us (as always) this year, so does the 12 all result reflect a good performance? or were robbed by poor reffing, unlucky bounce of the ball's, poor interchange selections, fitness, blah blah......
Pretty encouraging trial, but watched Storm v Knights too and I hate to say it but Melbs would have put 40 on us, massive pack but we still look slow and clueless on attack. No Chanel Harris-Tavita or Egan after the first quarter though. Addin Fonua-Blake and Ben Murdoch-Masila are beasts, Aitken is the best specialist defensive centre we've had for years, Sironen and Murchie were classy.

Hiku was his usual pants on backwards self, AitKen should be a solid edge, Peta and Fusitua will be the rocks & diamonds side, anything could happen.

What else, Paul Turner and Hayze showed glimpses of x factor, some dazzling footwork and speed, Sully was alright but painfully slow, Curran the future immortal scored a good brute force try and put in some awesome D, Leeson is back to his best, looked bulked up and pretty intimidating in his carries.

Good to see Rocco finally get a game of league, he'll get the hang of it. He reminded me of a young John Kirwan who showed up at the wrong park for a union trial.

Adam Pompey stood out as most improved, and according to Halligan he's grown taller than Ken in the offseason. If we keep growing like this Jazz will be 5' 4" by round 1.

Good base to work on, we're a definite shot at the 8 with Chanel, Katoa and Fusitua back, fingers crossed for Wayde's bicep.

If you watch the highlights and turn the sound up the ref was calling josh curran out of the play when big tino ran through and scored. Thats why he just arm grabbed. Shit call he wasnt even off side
Yep called offside, in a real game he might have been better to give up the penalty. Still, Tino was pretty awesome, the game could go either way in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to another classic arm battle.

Halligan has zero perception of height. He once genuinely said on air that Ken Maumalo was 7 foot.

Even on Saturday he said Pompey was 6’6. Just lazy commentary. Don’t know how he still gets these gigs.

Five&Last TheCool - What are your thoughts on Kelepo filling a role? Or was he one of the 6 that went to live at Redcliffe for full-time development?
Yeah I think he will play a larger role than people think. He will definately debut this year, despite Morgan brushing it off in an interview. The window for debuting development players has also moved forward to May. Both him and Otukolo have big bodies for hookers, so will handle first grade contact well if required.

If Wayde is injured for the start of the season, I would like to see Kodi move to hooker and Hayze or Turner move to five eighth. Sean O'Sullivan is not the answer in any position, he just gets burnt on defence too often, he’s a plodder.

I’d rather go with Kalepo over any of the hookers running round in reserve grade without an NRL contract (i.e. Nathan Peats etc.)

If we try poach someone Siliva Havili is probably the best under contract target. He’s slipped to 3rd in the pecking order at Raiders behind Josh Hodgson and Tom Starling.

The only question I have is he over in Australia right now? Redcliff or Terrigal?

He's with the main squad right now. All 6 development players are.

Only ones with Redcliffe at the moment are the Kepu twins, Will Fakatoumafi, Lleyton Finau, Setu Tu and Preston Riki
Edward Kosi , Temple , jackson frei , jy glamuzina , pila all played for redcliffe on the weekend but so far i only know of temple returning to terrigal ( the others may have ) but cant confirm
