Well, bloody great news for PNG rugby league, they are going to have a team in the Queensland cup in 2014!

Fantastic news for PNG. The only nation in the world where Rugby League is their national sport. I heard some funny stories from the old Tongan Rugby League reps that were sitting at my table during the MMT dinner and had toured PNG. They are crazy fanatical over there. This news will go down well.

Great initiative by the QRL to include them. Would love to eventually see all island nations included at some stage down the line. If our great sport is to prosper on an International level then this is a great start. Most, if not all, Pacific nations are Union mad but with the IRB and SANZAR taking little notice of the Island nations it wont be hard to turn them to the light.

It is great news, just hope the corruption doesn't kill it before it starts, then they have to get past the dangers of just being in Moresby, will only take a couple of incidents with Raskols, which is a very real possibility to destroy the whole thing.
