Pick Your Team Pick Your Team 2022 Rnd 10 - Warriors vs Rabbitohs

1. Walsh 2. Montoya 3. Vailea 4. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 5. Ratuva we have a Fijian Superstar in the making but still choose underperformed players 😢 6. ASI 7. Johnson 8. Fonua Blake 9. Egan 10. Lodge 11. Aitken 12. Pene give the guy a break has been playing S/R his whole life has come to the Warriors and they’ve chucked him in at prop most the game then switched him back to his preferred position at S/R🤣 13. Harris
14. Volkman or Lussick 15. Afoa 16. PPR need to give him a go atleast will probably put the effort in 17. Tevaga prop player/bench player at best little stints best for him, do remember when he won bench player of year pretty much told you then where he should be playing and that’s bench

This should of been the team till Curran & Chanel Harris-Tavita returned and the rest is set and forget
When Curran returns chuck him at lock, Harris back to S/R, Pene drops back to bench Chanel Harris-Tavita at Centre- Pompey or Vailea back to Reggie’s, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak back to the wing, Ratuva or Montoya for other wing spot depending on who’s fighting for their position

Is Chitty still out? Has the Volkman deal come through.

1. Walsh 2. Ratuva 3. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 4. Pompey 5. Montoya 6. Volkman 7. Johnson 8. Fonua Blake 9. Egan 10. Lodge 11. Aitken 12. Harris 13. Tevaga
14. Asi (desperate for Metcalf) 15. Afoa 16. Murchie 17. Ben Murdoch-Masila

Coach: Geoff Toovey

Cant afford weak centres and #6 again. Chanel Harris-Tavita a shoe in to #6 to continue his excellent season and to replace Asi who was human speed bump. Centres and 5/8th plugged with respectable defense, hoping Dallin Watene-Zelezniak can handle it, tempted to leave him on the wing and bring Montoya back inward to centre.

Put Ratuva on wing because the rest have proved incapable of first grade, lets see what hes got.

Toovey will bare minimum have them all keyed up like 4 lines of coke prior to the match, ready to run like the Sharks did and ready to chop the defense down for 20-30m set gains.

We are much better than: Raiders, West Tigers, Titans, Bulldogs and the Knights, and maybe the Dragons. We just need to get a win or two and then get on a roll.
I agree that all hope isn't lost. We play each of those teams mentioned once again each. 10 wins is unlikely to get a playoff spot most years & we're carrying an anchor of a -81 points differential already & are still to play the Storm & Sharks again plus the Panthers twice.
We need to claim some big scalps along with winning the ones we assume we should

12 wins even is unlikely most years. Need minimum 13 to feel a good chance, but with that FnA as you say, well what we need to do is start playing like the Broncs game with a 20:6 win avg from here and that should mitigate.

So we have 4 wins, 15 to go, we need 9/15 and to win well. 3 wins in a row would change our outlook a bit, 7/12, we are back over the 50/50 win loss ratio.

We could have been where Cowboys are with 3 less errors and the refs to not have not whistled us out of the roosters game with 10-15 simple mistakes, that was pretty sickening, especially as the video ref made prob half the mistakes.

6/3 doesnt sound a lot different to 4/5, not given inexperience in 2 matches was the difference and that horrid roosters game.

So if looking at it from that perspective we are far from out of it.

What would help a lot is the big defender Chanel Harris-Tavita, Curren and Arthers back. At least Montoya is back. Im over Berry, Villiami and Kosi. They may come on next year in RG, but outside mass back line injuries we shouldnt need them with players back. Walker early would have been a HUGE help, Metcalf too, Metcalf at 6 would have turned the offense up. Oh well, gotta shuffle what we have where we can, I just cant trust those 3 players being in Centre.

Again we got the Roster to rick roll any team. I just dont think we are turning up to play. I put that a lot on the coach, hes gotta slap them in the face or something (oh oops he got busted doing that at Dragons lol). But he needs to get ther heads switched on and the positive adrenaline flowing. Maybe use some emotional propaganda, Graham Lowe style. I just dont have faith Brown is any good outside putting a Roster together, which isnt rocket science if you got the contacts. If hes going to stay he needs some real coaches under him.

I can see your point but… it’s always next year and with all the right ingredients what ever they are lol, I think we could really do something this year especially once we get our players back, Harris, Chanel Harris-Tavita, Curran etc.
I was pretty confident we could make the lower 8, even after the Storm game.

Saw enough on Sunday to be reminded of many past seasons where you know the key players are not committed to the cause.

Too many of our top guys are trying to get away with the easy path.
.
When that happens you're wasting your time, mainly because other clubs aim up vs us, and they sense when the Warriors smell bad.

Start again. You have to stop throwing good after bad at some point.
Bring the young stars in and tell them no stress just get some minutes on the clock and learn.

Yep. If the Warriors had an actual permanent home in Aus Im 99% confident things would be a lot different. ie the Old Broncs stadium down South Bris/GC where the majority of Kiwis in Qld live/congregate. I think a NZ team based there, not just staying over, would do VERY well. Player buy in, as many NZ fans turning up as Mt Smart, easier to sign Aus players.

But playing home games when nobody cares, doesnt work (although Redcliffe has been ok).

The players usually do this at Mt Smart, put in half arsed effort and can just go home because nobody in NZ cares and there is next to no media in NZ.

If the roosters game with the beyond dodgy reffing had occured in NZ you would not have had an article saying the Warriors were essentially robbed of beating Sydneys own team by the Sydney Morning Herald.

I think people have totally overlooked the potential in Aus by pretending it is just temporary instead of being analytical and placing the club closer to the majority of NZs sports fans. Idiotic management yet again, where do these guys get there MBA;s?

I just hope the spurt of new guys joining this year who waant to play for a NZ team will spur us on to want to perform even if it feels like for themselves only. Thats really who they should be playing like they on speed for, each other damn it.
