My team:

1) Josh Hoffman (Locke is injured and hasn't been playing too well)
2) Jason Nightingale (This guy is one of the best wingers in the game, solid in defence and under the high ball)
3) Steve Matai (Played well when he hasn't been injured)
4) Krisnan Inu (Hopefully he can play like he has been for the Bulldogs)
5) Sam Perrett or Manu Vatuvei (Preferably Perrett because my heart doesn't stop every time he has a hit up)
6) Keiran Foran (Looks to be getting back to form)
7) Benji Marshall (Hasn't had the greatest season but can't think of anyone better)
8) Sam Kasiano (Hopefully he plays for us. I just couldn't handle it if he played for the Maroons)
9) Isaac Luke (The 3rd best hooker in the game behind Cam Smith and Farah)
10) Ben Matulino (Best Warriors player this year)
11) Frank Pritchard (His combination with Kasiano would be one to look out for)
12) Simon Mannering (Never seems to put a foot wrong and one of our better defenders + can cover centre)
13) Jeremy Smith [C ] (Been superb this year and is a great leader, should get the captaincy aswell)

14) Josh Papalii or Greg Eastwood (Papalii has played extremely well for Canberra these past weeks)
15) Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (If he stops giving up so many penalties he could be amazing)
16) Jesse Bromwich (Was one of our better performers in the ANZAC test)
17) Alex Glenn or Nathan Fien (Because I can't think of anyone else)

Honorable mentions: Matt Duffie, Joseph Paulo, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Dean Whare, Jason Taumalolo (be good to secure him before he can be persuaded to play SOO.)

This game means nothing, so blood young talent and get them 'signed' up to the cause and revisit some people like Stanley who has potential but probably played too early last time.

Also give some dudes a bit of a rest while sill keeping a bit of experience.

Won't happen, but I would support this type of approach.

1) Hoffman/Locke - cant decide between them, both seem to be carrying injuries and are not in top form hoping one steps up next few weeks
2) Nightingale - one of my first picked
3) Matai - Class player
4) SKD - Dunno about Inu he turned down the kiwi's last time he was named so why beg him to come back
5) Manu - Dont think anyone has been playing good enough for him to be dropped
6) Foran - Finding some form lately after coming back from injury
7) Marshall - Needs to step up and direct the team around the field more
8) Matulino - One of best props going around at the moment
9) Luke - 80mins unless he get's gassed
10) Kasiano - Should be playing for kiwi's
11) Pritchard - Needs to run hard at the holes and will be devastating
12) Mannering - Solid
13) Smith - Never lets the jersey down, brings some mongrel to the team

14) Fein - Covers both half and hooker if needed
15) JWH - More mongrel of the bench when Kasiano needs smoko
16) Bromwich - No fuss no mistake football with good defence
17) Taumalolo - Gotta lock this kid up for the future

Others just missed out or come in for injurys/bad form

I like your idea but I would hope that any time they pull on the Kiwi's jersey the dont think "this game doesn't mean anything"

They need to sort something to get these young guns that you've named locked in

dont know if you guys heard, but the latest on kasiano is that he wants to have a talk to his mum 'to decide which nationality he is', despite 'her saying to do whatever is best for me'. I would assume he is leaning towards queensland, and if he really still cant make up his mind whether he is a kiwi or not, i dont feel we should be giving out jumpers just for the sake of 'locking' them in. Also one of Kearney's first task upon getting the sack at parra was that he said he would spend time with Kasiano to get an idea of which side he wants to play for. It actually might be beneficial to have a fulltime NZ coach who goes around the clubs to actively promote and discuss playing for NZ to the hordes of kiwis at most NRL clubs in australia.

What I'd like to see is that we pick a team on form. We haven't won anything in ages because we keep picking on past experience. We aren't the freakin All Blacks. Just pick those that are performing.
